FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: California (fall sections only), Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Notre Dame commit Eva Hurm scored the lone goal in Northern Highlands' 1-0 win over state-ranked Ramapo last week. Georgetown commit Casey Richards scored twice in the team's 3-0 win over Ridgewood.
2 (2) McDonogh School Owings Mills, MD 2-0-0
McDonogh routed Magnificat (Ohio) 8-1 on Saturday. The wins sets McDonogh up for a crucial match with Immaculate Heart Academy (N.J.) this weekend. McDonogh's contest with IHA and Northern Highlands' likely clash later with IHA might very well determine the SIMA FAB 50 No. 1 spot this season.
3 (3) Montclair Montclair, NJ 4-0-0
Rebecca Van Siclen delivered two goals in Montclair's 5-0 win over West Essex in the team's only match last week.
4 (4) St. Anthony's Melville, NY 3-0-0
Miranda Ozimek provided the team's top offensive performance of the week, scoring twice and adding a pair of assists in the Friars' 6-0 win over Our Lady of Mercy. Katrina Etts scored twice in the team's 3-0 win over Kellenberg.

Montgomery Santa Rosa, CA 8-0-0
Virginia commit Taylor Ziemer scored the lone goal off a corner kick as Montgomery ended years of frustration with a 1-0 win over reigning section champs Maria Carrillo. Six of Montgomery's seven losses over the past two years were to Maria Carrillo, who had won 40 straight league matches until losing to Montgomery.
6 (6) Carmel Carmel, IN 11-0-1
Carmel's 11 goals last week came from 10 players, showing one of the strengths of this team -- it's ability to get offense from anyone and everyone on the field. Carmel faces Noblesville in a FAB 50 showdown this week.

Davis Kaysville, UT 10-0-0
Megan Rowe scored the game-winner as Davis stayed perfect with a 2-1 win over Layton. Ireland Dunn netted Davis' first goal.

Walsh Jesuit Cuyahoga Falls, OH 7-0-1
Walsh Jesuit is slowly inching toward the Top 5, and last week achieved a milestone -- earning the program's 400th victory -- after one-sided wins over Massillon Jackson and Kent.

Medina was held to a scoreless draw by rival Strongsville, flipping this team's state ranking with perennial power Walsh Jesuit.

Houston Germantown, TN 10-0-0
Houston continued its state dominance with a 4-2 win over Girls Prep and a 4-0 victory over Notre Dame. Four players scored in the win over Girls Prep, which entered the contest 6-2. Houston has won eight of its 10 matches by at least four goals.

Glastonbury defeated Bulkeley and Hall last week by a combined 8-1 margin.

Cumberland Valley Mechanicsburg, PA 6-0-0
The Eagles are proving to be a second-half team, rallying from a 2-1 deficit for a 4-2 win over State College and scoring all three goals in the second half of a 3-0 win over Carlisle. Sam Perry scored three goals last week.

The Cadets are averaging six goals per match so far this season.

Brebeuf was held to a scoreless tie with state-ranked Cathedral last week. This week, the Braves clash with state-ranked Zionsville.

Coastal Carolina commit Montanna Hill scored both goals as Linganore edged county rival and perennial regional power Urbana 2-1 last week.

Maria Carrillo lost to rival Montgomery 1-0 last week, ending the team's three-plus year undefeated run against California programs.

Pennsbury capped a three-win week with a 3-1 win over Unionville, with three different players producing goals.

Shannon Keefe scored the lone goal as Ridge defeated Bridgewater-Raritan 1-0 last week. Julia Lindsey added two goals in the team's 3-0 win over Montgomery.

Playing without its full lineup, Colts Neck settled on a 1-1 draw with Red Bank Catholic after leading 1-0 at halftime. Bridgette King scored the team's only goal. King then added three goals and two assist as Colts Neck handled Neptune 5-1 later in the week.

Eagan shut out Prior Lake and Lakeville South last week, but the scoreless draw with unranked Prior Lake caused a slight slip in the rankings.

Catey Nelson had three goals and two assists as issaquah rolled up a pair of 6-0 wins last week. Maddie Huling added two goals and two assists.

Julia Hannon scored twice as Massapequa pulled away late for a 4-0 win over Shenendehowa in a match of projected Class AA state title hopefuls.

Franklin Franklin, TN 8-0-1
Franklin gave up a goal for the first time in eight matches and it resulted in a 1-1 draw with rival Brentwood. Both teams remain undefeated, but Brentwood's record is 3-0-5.

Lauren Bonavita scored all three goals in the team's 3-0 win over Duxbury last week.
