FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: California (fall sections only), Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Georgetown commit Casey Richards had a goal and an assist as Northern Highlands rallied for a 3-1 victory over former SIMA FAB 50 No. 1 Maria Carrillo (Calif.) on Saturday in the Coast-to-Coast Challenge. Richards' goal, which clinched the match, was assisted by Notre Dame commit Eva Hurm. Ariel Somple and Claudia Dipasupil also scored for the Highlanders.

McDonogh's scheduled match with Cumberland Valley (Pa.) was canceled, leaving the Eagles still awaiting their season opener. The Eagles will face Mount de Sales on Wednesday.

Rebecca Van Siclen and Fiona Tubiana scored the goals as Montclair edged Kinnelon 2-1 in a battle of defending state champions. Montclair later has a clash with top-ranked Northern Highlands.

St. Anthony's starts regular-season play this week.

Medina continues to spread the wealth as the team has yet to have a multi-goal scorer in any match despite averaging nearly 4 goals per match. Marin Auth, a transfer from Walsh Jesuit, was named MVP for Medina at the Lady Eagle Invitational. Medina defeated former Indiana No. 1 Fishers 4-1 before settling on a scoreless draw with SIMA FAB 50-ranked Noblesville.

Carmel Carmel, IN 7-0-1
Macy Miller's late goal gave Carmel a 1-0 win over Brebeuf Jesuit at the Lady Eagle Invitational. Earlier in the day, the Greyhounds had no problem putting away Assumption (Ky.), 4-0.

Maria Carrillo Santa Rosa, CA 3-1-0
Madison Gonzalez scored twice as Maria Carrillo ran out to a 4-0 lead en route to a 4-2 win over Immaculate Heart Academy (N.J.) in the opener of the Coast-to-Coast Challenge. The Pumas' 75-match undefeated streak, however, then came to an end with a 3-1 setback to Northern Highlands (N.J.) in a match where it held the lead.

Emma Orosa scored the deciding goal as Montgomery held off Alta (Utah) 1-0 in a battle of perennial title challengers.

Penn State commit Franki Tagliaferri scored three goals to carry Colts Neck to a 4-1 season-opening win over St. John Vianney.

Davis' push toward the top continued with 8-0 and 15-0 wins last week. This Utah power, loaded with future NCAA Division I players, has yet to be held to less than seven goals in a match.

Walsh Jesuit traveled to North on the weekend where it posted a 3-1 win over South Side (N.Y.).

Julianna Shrekgast and Gianna Nitti scored late goals, but the damage was already done as IHA saw its 22-match win streak come to an end in a 4-2 loss to Maria Carrillo (Calif.) in the Coast-to-Coast Challenge at Northern Highlands.

Brebeuf, which has a win over No. 25 Noblesville, suffered its first regular-season loss since 2013 in a 1-0 setback to Carmel at the Lady Eagle Invitational. Brebeuf had a distinct advantage in shots and chances, but conceded a late goal in the loss.

Noblesville had a big week, beating former Indiana No. 1 Fishers 1-0 on a penalty kick, handing current Kentucky No. 2 Sacred Heart a 1-0 setback, and then tying Ohio No. 1 Medina 0-0. The last two results occurred at the Lady Eagle Invitational, hosted by Zionsville.
