Davis is riding a state record 44-match win streak. The Darts, which finished No. 2 in the FAB 50 last year following a 20-0 season and outscoring opponents 109-8, took it a step further this year by outscoring foes 120-8. |

NOTES: Florida State commit Kristina Lynch, a junior, had a goal and one assist as Penn defeated Brebeuf Jesuit 2-0 in a state final rematch from 2015. Maya Lacognato, a sophomore, scored the first goal before Lynch sealed the outcome later in the second half to deliver Penn its first-ever state title. Senior Sommer Domal had four key saves to earn the shutout. Lynch finished the season with 38 goals and 26 assists (102 points). WATCH THE STATE FINAL UNDER THE "ON DEMAND" TAB. Underclassmen accounted for 101 of Penn's 123 goals this season, and if all return the Kingsmen will be a preseason favorite in the state, region and SIMA FAB 50 rankings in 2017. |

Glastonbury has won 60 straight matches and outscored its opponents 108-6 this season. Bogue finished the year with a school-record 34 goals as the Tomahawks won a third straight state title and earned the highest-ever SIMA FAB 50 ranking by a Connecticut program. |

Until this year, the state offered three classifications for soccer championships -- now it's four, and Pittsburgh came out looking strong. In both the AAAA and AAA final Pittsburgh teams won state titles over Philadelphia suburban schools. Canon-McMillan's lone setback was a loss to Top 25-ranked Norwin, but then the Big Macs won the rematch to get to the state semifinals where it handled Cumberland Valley 4-1. |

NOTES: It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Long Island Catholic League champion will win the state title -- and Sacred Heart didn't disappoint. After upsetting favored St. Anthony's in the Long Island final, Sacred Heart capped the title run with a 1-0 victory over Nardin Academy. Only once in the last 20 years has the Long Island champ failed to win the state title. Sacred Heart's playoff run this year will result in preseason accolades in 2017 as the team started seven sophomores in the final. Despite the youthful lineup, it was senior Kristen McArdle who created the lone goal as her cross deflected off a Nardin defender for the only score in the contest. |
