FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: California (fall section only), Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Season Complete. Utah Class 5A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,375 students, grades 10-12.
NOTES: BYU commits Mikayla Colohan and junior Olivia Wade scored the goals as Davis capped a second straight perfect season with its third straight state title in a 2-1 victory over SIMA FAB 50-ranked Fremont. Davis is riding a state record 44-match win streak. The Darts, which finished No. 2 in the FAB 50 last year following a 20-0 season and outscoring opponents 109-8, took it a step further this year by outscoring foes 120-8.

Season Complete. Indiana Class 2A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 3,400 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Florida State commit Kristina Lynch, a junior, had a goal and one assist as Penn defeated Brebeuf Jesuit 2-0 in a state final rematch from 2015. Maya Lacognato, a sophomore, scored the first goal before Lynch sealed the outcome later in the second half to deliver Penn its first-ever state title. Senior Sommer Domal had four key saves to earn the shutout. Lynch finished the season with 38 goals and 26 assists (102 points). Underclassmen accounted for 101 of Penn's 123 goals this season, and if all return the Kingsmen will be a preseason favorite in the state, region and SIMA FAB 50 rankings in 2017.

Strongsville Strongsville, OH 18-0-1
Cincinnati commit Vanessa Dinardo, a junior, scored all three goals as Strongsville defeated North Royalton 3-0 last week in the district final.

Parkland Allentown, PA 22-0-0
Emily Piston and Brooke Schutter each had two goals and one assist as Parkland cruised to a 6-0 playoff win over Pocono Mountain East. Parkland has had an relatively easy road for now, but the competition starts to kick up starting this week. Parkland is in the same playoff bracket as the other five SIMA FAB 50 Top 25 Pennsylvania teams, and at some point, they will start going head-to-head.

Glastonbury Glastonbury, CT 15-0-0
Seniors Caroline Bogue and Megan Smith each scored three goals in the Tomahawk's 6-0 win over Hall last week. Junior Eden Baker scored twice in the team's 7-1 victory over Avon.

Central Catholic Lawrence, MA 17-0-0
Elayna Grillakis leads Central Catholic with 20 goals and 15 assists this season as the team is off to a perfect start.

Walsh Jesuit Cuyahoga Falls, OH 18-1-0
Kathryn Ramicone and Sofia Rossi scored as Walsh Jesuit defeated Solon 2-0 to win the district title. The victory sets up a clash with undefeated Strongsville in the Ohio Division I Round of 16.

Seattle Prep received goals from four players in a 4-0 playoff victory over Ballard.

Loveland Loveland, OH 18-0-1
Brice Grieshop and Brooke Hardin scored the goals as Loveland defeated Centerville 2-0 for the program's third district title in the past four seasons.

Neshaminy Langhorne, PA 18-1-1
Kristin Curley scored the lone goal as Neshaminy edged Downingtown West 1-0 in the Class 4A District 1 quarterfinals. The result secured a state playoff berth for Neshaminy, who is the top seed in the district event.

Eve Hewins had a goal and two assists as Hingham handled Duxbury 4-1 to wrap up a two-win week.

Hunterdon Central Flemington, NJ 15-1-1
Four players scored goals as Hunterdon Central handled North Hunterdon 4-0 in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament championship match last week.

Northern Highlands Allendale, NJ 15-1-0
After a midweek loss to rival Ramapo, which Northern Highlands had defeated a week earlier in the county tournament, Northern Highlands bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Ridgewood to claim the Bergen County Tournament title. Senior Claire Nam scored the winning goal.

Hope Breslin and Sierra Brophy each scored three goals last week as Massapequa won a pair of matches.

Montgomery Santa Rosa, CA 18-1-0
Cindy Arteaga scored the only goal as Montgomery defeated Santa Rosa last week 1-0. Montgomery also handed Ukiah a 6-0 defeat. The Vikings will go into the section playoffs as the No. 1 seed.

Norwin Irwin, PA 19-0-1
Top-seeded Norwin received a late goal from Emily Harrigan to outlast Fox Chapel 1-0 in the WPIAL (District 7) semifinals. The victory sends Norwin into a showdown with fellow undefeated Canon-McMillan for the district title. Regardless of the outcome, both teams advance to the Class 4A state playoffs.

Chloe Adler had a goal and one assist and Alice Onyango-Opiyo scored the other goal as Central Dauphin defeated Governor Mifflin 2-1 in District 3 playoff action last week.

Season Complete. Indiana Class 2A state runner-up.
School Facts: Private, 800 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Keeper Lauren Turner had nine saves and Michigan-bound Alia Martin helped create a few scoring chances, but the Braves could not get past SIMA FAB 50 No. 2 Penn in a 2-0 state final loss. The meeting marked the second year in a row Brebeuf and Penn have met in the final. Given the high number of key underclass players on both rosters, a third straight state final encounter in 2017 would not be a surprise.

Canon-McMillan Canonsburg, PA 18-0-1
Sophomore Addie Roman scored the game-winning goal with 4:28 left in the second overtime as Canon-McMillan survived a clash with upset-minded Mount Lebanon. Only minutes earlier, Canon-McMillan keeper Megan Virgin stopped a penalty kick that could have sent the team home early.

Monroe-Woodbury Central Valley, NY 16-0-1
Liz Myers, Hannah Geller and Gabrielle Varley scored the goals as Monroe-Woodbury defeated Washingtonville 3-0 in the district semifinals. The team faces No. 2 seeded Warwick in the district final Tuesday and the winner advances to the state tournament.

UMass commit Lauren Bonavita, a junior, scored twice in Whitman-Hanson's 6-0 victory over Quincy last week.

Pennridge Perkasie, PA 18-1-1
Katie Fischer scored the lone goal as Pennridge advanced to the Class 4A District 1 semifinals with a 1-0 victory over Downingtown East. The win seals a spot in the 16-team state tournament for Pennridge.
