FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The fall season includes the following states: California (fall section only), Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Aubrey Bechter delivered the lone goal as Walsh Jesuit edged Massillon Jackson 1-0 to cap a 3-0 win week. The Warriors had a pair of 8-0 wins over Twinsburg and Padua earlier in the week.

Three players scored goals as Houston defeated Arlington 3-0 in the team's only match last week.

Massapequa Massapequa, NY 4-0-0
Illinois commit Hope Breslin scored four goals last week as Massapequa defeated South Side and Oceanside by a combined 11-2.

Montgomery Santa Rosa, CA 5-0-0
Three underclassmen provided the goals as Montgomery defeated five-time defending section champion Maria Carrillo 3-1 in a clash of local powers last week. The two-goal win was enough to vault Montgomery ahead of Strongsville (Ohio), which posted a one-goal victory over Maria Carrillo earlier in the month.

Florida State commit Kristina Lynch scored two goals in both of Penn's victories last week, a pair of lopsided wins over South Bend Washington and South Bend Riley.

Strongsville and Medina played to a 2-2 draw last week that ultimately helped both teams in this week's rankings.

Medina started the week with a 2-2 draw against Strongsville (Ohio) then edged Good Counsel (Md.) 1-0 to move up in this week's SIMA FAB 50.

Rutgers commit Amirah Ali scored three goals as Eastern routed state-ranked Washington Township 4-0. All the goals came in the second half. Eastern has won every match by at least four goals this season resulting in a major jump in this week's SIMA FAB 50.

Katie Soderstrom turned in another big offensive performance with two goals and three assists in the team's 6-0 win over local rival North Central last week. The Greyhounds also handled Warren Central 7-0.

Yale commit Ciara Ostrander provided the team's offensive highlight last week with a two-goal, three-assist performance in Somers' 7-0 win over Harrison. Somers also defeated Brewster and John Jay-Cross River to stay perfect.

Cara Thomas scored the winning goal in overtime as Pennsbury edged Neshaminy 3-2 in a battle of undefeated teams to highlight the week. Pennsbury's stock rose even more after Neshaminy then defeated former Top 25-ranked Cumberland Valley later in the week.

Five different players scored the goals last week as St. Anthony's defeated St. John the Baptist and Our Lady of Mercy. This week, St. Anthony's faces Immaculate Heart Academy (N.J.) in a key measuring stick match. IHA already has lost to Massapequa (N.Y.) and tied McDonogh (Md.).

Isabella Fitzhenry scored both goals, but Colts Neck ended up in a 2-2 draw with Freehold Township last week.
