NOTES: Florida State commit Kristina Lynch, known for her goal scoring ability, assisted both second-half goals as Penn repeated as state champion. Xavier commit Holly McLaughlin scored the first goal off a pass from Lynch in the 54th minute, then Lynch set up Maya Lacognato's game-clincher seven minutes later. Penn has posted back-to-back undefeated seasons and heads into 2018 with a 47-match (45-0-2) undefeated streak. Northwestern commit Mackenzie Wood made a point-blank save early in the match to keep the game scoreless. Lynch finished the season with 44 goals and 19 assists. NOTES: After a pair of close calls in the Round of 16 and state quarterfinals, Portland Jesuit made no doubt about in the final weekend of the season. The Crusaders handled Lincoln 6-1 in the state semifinals and Sunset 4-0 in the final. Sophomore Callahan Harrington scored four goals in the semifinals and finals. Cal commit Emma Treasure and freshman Madeline Koleno each scored three goals. Other key players on this year's included Gonzaga commit Sophia Braun and Cal commit Sydney Collins. Portland Jesuit outscored its opponents 86-2 for the season. |

After playing its most difficult matches in the league playoffs leading up to the state tournament, St. Anthony's routed Notre Dame Academy 8-1 in the state semifinals and handled Xaverian 4-0 in the final. Brianna Passaro scored twice in each outing. Lauren Hackett had three goals and one assist in the final two matches. |

The result pushed Moon's win streak to 43, which is the second-longest active win streak in the country as of Nov. 20. Snyder finished the season with 56 goals. Villa Joseph Marie was marking a fourth straight state final appearance and third straight runner-up finish ... the last two years to Moon. |

Sarah Gordon scored twice and Jenna Karabin scored in regulation for Wall. The team avenged its lone setback by defeating eventual Group 4 co-champ Freehold Township in the second meeting between the state powers. |

Senior keeper and Ohio University commit Samantha Wexell added a 53rd shutout to her school record career total. This year's Norwin team also featured Rutgers commit Emily Harrigan and Duquesne commit Lexy Kendro. Wexell, Harrigan and Kendro were names to the Pennsylvania coaches all-state team. |

Loveland finished the season with 18 shutouts, including a pair of 1-0 wins over FAB 50-ranked teams. |

Wachusett ended up being a bit of a surprise state champion in a year loaded with highly talented Massachusetts Division 1 programs. |

Although Guerin Catholic has the enrollment of a 2A school, it asked -- and was granted -- permission to play in 3A with the traditional state powers. Guerin had a loss to Brebeuf, but twice beat Carmel -- the second time in PKs in the playoffs. Elle Vuotto led the team with 16 goals. Florida commit Cassidy Lindley and freshman standout Quincy McMahon each had 11. |

NOTES: Carmel's season ended with a shootout loss to Guerin Catholic in the section final. Both of the Greyhounds' losses this season were to Guerin, which included a 1-0 setback earlier in the year. The section final result leaves longtime coach Frank Dixon on 499 career victories. During the regular season, Carmel had key wins over Toledo Notre Dame Academy (Ohio) and Noblesville and the Greyhounds tied Penn. During the postseason, Carmel pinned a 3-0 defeat on previously undefeated Brebeuf Jesuit. Junior Ashley Witucki, a Purdue commit, had two goals and one assist, sophomore Kelsie James, a Valparaiso commit, had a goal and senior standout Katie Soderstrom, a Butler commit, had two assists. |

On the run to the state title, Issaquah pinned the only loss on Puyallup, defeated defending state champ Camas and then ended Central Valley's perfect season. |
