The fall season includes the following states: Connecticut, D.C., Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi (independent schools) Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia (private), Washington, West Virginia.

The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Season Complete. Ohio Division I state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,025, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Coley Sidloski, a junior and Ohio State commit, had a goal and two assists as Strongsville capped a perfect season with a 3-1 victory over Olentangy in the Division I state final. Xavier signee Shelby Sallee and sophomore standout Taylor Demmerle added goals in the final. Xavier commit Libby Majka had an assist. In addition to the listed players, Strongsville's lineup also included Memphis signee Peyton Felton, Miami (Ohio) signee Sarah Robertson and Cleveland State signee Madi Snyder. Thirteen of the 14 players Strongsville used in the state final play club for either Internationals or Cleveland FC.
2 Noblesville Noblesville, IN 17-0-1*
Season Complete. Indiana Class 3A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,900 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Junior Carlie Sack, senior and Tennessee signee Jenna Chatterton and sophomore Ava Bramblett scored the goals as Noblesville defeated Guerin Catholic 3-0 in the state final, marking the Millers second straight title. In addition, Noblesville became only the third program in Indiana history to post back-to-back undefeated, state title-winning seasons (joining Carmel, 1994-95; and Penn, 2016-12017). Chatterton was named the state’s Player of the Year and was joined on the All-State first team with Purdue signee Sara Kile (goalkeeper) and junior Makenna Maloy. Brambles was an honorable meantion all-state pick. Brook Hines (Murray State) and Makenna Mundy (Franklin College) have signed for soccer while Emma Potter (Central Michigan) has committed for lacrosse. Noblesville’s starting lineup features seven Indiana Fire and four Indiana Premier club players.
3 Eastern Voorhees, NJ 15-0-0*
Season Complete. New Jersey South West D champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,950 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Junior Cami Silvestro, who has committed to Army, had a goal and one assist as Eastern capped a perfect season with a 3-0 victory over Washington Township for the sectional title. The section was the highest level of play in New Jersey this season as the state tournament was canceled. Junior Emily Eustace and sophomore Hayley Masden each scored a goal while Rutgers signee Riley Tiernan had an assist. Eastern is 65-3-1 over the past three seasons. The only three seniors who saw significant time has signed: Tiernan, Staala Kahn (La Salle) and Madison Winfield (Montclair). Tiernan and Silvestro were selected to the state’s Top 20 players for 2020, and juniors Eustace, Alex Clark and Klio Kokolis and sophomore Sydney Ritter earned all-state honors. The team's starting 11 features five PDA players, four from SJEB and one each from CedarStars and TBAA.
4 St. Anthony's Melville, NY 9-0-0*
Season Complete. New York CHSAA AA champion.
School Facts: Private, 2,400 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Junior defender Eva LaVecchia’s attempted cross ended up as a perfect shot, lifting St. Anthony’s to a 1-0 victory over Sacred Heart in the CHSAA AA final to cap a perfect season. It was the fourth straight CHSAA AA title for the Friars, but the season ended at that level with no state final. St. Anthony's is the three defending state champ. Seniors Lindsay Zolga (NC State), Ava Neilson (Louisville), Julia Ostermann (Merrimack) and Natalie DeMasi (Temple) have committed to NCAA Division I programs, as well as junior Sonni Adams (Dartmouth). St. Anthony’s rosters includes 13 players from SUSA, five each from NY Surf and East Meadow SC, and two from LI Slammers.
5 Winchester Winchester, MA 10-0-0*
Season Complete. Massachusetts Middlesex League champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,360 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Winchester won a state title in 2018 and finished as runner-up in 2019. During this pandemic season, Winchester was not afforded another crack at a state title as the team was limited to a 10-game schedule. Still, senior-loaded Winchester delivered a perfect season, scoring 56 goals. Dartmouth commit Hannah Curtain was named league MVP. Yale commit Ellie Rappel, Princeton commit Ally Murphy and Skidmore commit Ella Stone were named all-league and all-state. Gettysburg commit Jordan Weinberg, Connecticut College commit Katie Degnan, Colleen Gogolin and Sofie Lanou also earned all-league honors. The starting lineup was comprised of players from FC Stars, NEFC and Aztecs. In total, eight seniors have committed to colleges.
6 Mars Mars, PA 19-0-0*
Season Complete. Pennsylvania Class 3A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,075 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Purdue signee Gracie Dunaway scored early in the match and Sami King added a second-half clincher, assisted by Pitt signee Ellie Coffield, as Mars defeated Villa Joseph Marie 2-0 for its second straight title and second straight undefeated season. The Planets are 41-0-1 over the past two seasons. In addition to Dunaway and Coffield, Mars has a third likely Division I signee in Caroline Wroblewski, who is mulling over a few offers. Mars' starting lineup featured six Century Steel, three Riverhounds, and two Beadling club players. Overall, Mars rostered 37 players — 22 Century Steel, five Beadling, three Riverhounds, three Arsenal, and two SCS club players.
7 Rocky Mountain Meridian, ID 15-1-0*
Season Complete. Idaho Class 5A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,520 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Rocky Mountain secured a third straight state title with a 2-1 win over rival Boise, which also avenged the team’s only loss. Nadia Kincaid started the scoring for Rocky Mountain and Larissa Wegner netted the winner. Gonzaga signee Kelsey Oyler, the state’s three-time Player of the Year, highlighted a loaded lineup that included seniors Kasey Wardle (Utah), Kelsey Jargstorf (Idaho State), Deborah Pond (Idaho State) and Mary Meeks (University of Mary). Ainsley Terada and Wegner expect to sign in December. The junior class includes Violet Rademacher (Portland) and Jada Torpey (Utah State). In the starting 11, six play for the Boise Thorns and five for the Boise Reign. Overall, the team has 13 Thorns ECNL players, seven for the Reign and three who did not play club last season.
8 Montclair Montclair, NJ 13-0-1*
Season Complete. New Jersey North East E champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,100 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Georgetown signee Claire Manning, Colorado lacrosse commit Katie Giordano, Gettysburg lacrosse commit Emily Crane and sophomore standout Sonia Neighbors had a goal and one assist as Montclair capped an undefeated season with a 4-1 win over Livingston in the region final. Indiana signee Sydney Masur added an assist. Manning scored a team-high 20 goals, and Masur was dominant all season. Of the starting 11, five play club for Match Fit, two for PSA and one each for STA and PDA. The other two were club lacrosse college signees.
9 Davis Kaysville, UT 19-1-0*
Season Complete. Utah Class 6A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,600 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Annie Haycock scored four minutes into overtime to lift Davis to a dramatic 1-0 win over defending state champion American Fork in a battle between the state’s top two programs. Utah State signee Grace Nichol was named Miss Soccer while fellow Utah State signee Bizzy Arevalo was named 6A MVP for Davis. The program’s stellar defense was anchored by keeper and BYU commit Taygan Sill, a junior. Davis’ starting lineup featured seven players from Utah Avalanche, three from La Roca Premier and 1 from Wasatch United. In addition to honors for Nicol and Arevalo, Sill and senior defender Belle Mark were first-team all-state picks and juniors Haycock and Caroline Bitner were second-team picks.
10 Ocean City Ocean City, NJ 11-0-1*
Season Complete. New Jersey South East B champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,250 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Led by Rutgers signee Faith Slimmer and Monmouth commit Summer Reimet, Ocean City posted a second straight undefeated season and extended its undefeated run to 34 matches. Slimmer scored four goals in the team's title-winning 9-1 victory over Absegami, giving her 30 for the season and 100 for her career. Reimet added two goals to finish with 23. Hope Slimmer had four assists in the final. For the season, Ocean City outscored its opponents 77-4 in 12 matches.
11 Pennington School Pennington, NJ 4-0-0*
Season Complete. Independent schedule.
School Facts: Private, 530 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: What appeared to be the best season for Pennington in more than a decade was cut short when its last four opponents canceled contests against this annual New Jersey power. The highlight of a short season for Pennington was a 2-0 win over Hunterdon Central, which was ranked No. 1 in New Jersey at the time. This year's Pennington team featured Rutgers signee Kylie Daigle, American signee Jordan Mahony and High Point commit Stephanie Balerna, a junior. Five other Pennington players have committed to NCAA Division II or III programs as of Nov. 15.
12 Albertus Magnus Bardonia, NY 13-0-0*
Season Complete. Rockland County champion.
School Facts: Private, 500 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Although senior standout and The Citadel signee Lily Winters left the match early due to injury, sophomore Isabel DiPrima and freshman Gabby Chan picked up the offense with goals in a 2-0 title win over Pearl River. The victory capped a perfect season where Albertus Magnus outscored its opponents 56-1. Senior Bridget Doherty signed with Rider. The underclass-dominated squad features five young players all with NCAA Division I offers. The starting lineup featured eight World Class FC players, two from Clarkstown SC and one from Connecticut FC.
13 Glastonbury Glastonbury, CT 14-0-0*
Season Complete. Central Connecticut Conference Region C champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,990 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: With no state championships contested in Connecticut this fall, defending state champ Glastonbury did as much as possible — going undefeated and winning the CCC tournament. Samantha Forrest, who is committed to North Carolina for lacrosse, scored twice, and Megan Smith added a goal as Glastonbury defeated South Windsor 3-0 in the CCC final. Smith's goal was assisted by Sacred Heart signee Jaci Budaj. At a school known for its fall sports powers (the field hockey team also posted a perfect season and boys soccer was undefeated), Glastonbury fielded a uniquely athletic lineup, which also included Division II-bound basketball player Charlotte Bassett.
14 Pennridge Perkasie, PA 16-1-0*
Season Complete. Pennsylvania Class 4A state champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,350 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: High Point commit Leah Malone, a junior, delivered an overtime blast from 25 yards out to lift Pennridge to a 1-0 state title win over North Allegheny. In the state semifinals, Pennridge defeated Parkland. In addition to Malone, this year's Pennridge squad featured High Point signee Lindsey DeHaven and fellow seniors Cady McKean (Kings College), Raina Adelman (Kings College) and Samantha McBride (DeSales University). Most of the starting 11 are FC Bucks ECNL players with two or three from DELCO FC and one or two from PA Dominion.
15 Boise Boise, ID 12-1-0*
Season Complete. Idaho Class 5A state runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 1,600 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Boise lost to rival Rocky Mountain 2-1 in the state final. One week earlier, Boise won the district final against Rocky Mountain, also by a 2-1 margin. This year’s Boise team was led by seniors Kendra McDaniel (Oregon State), Bre Norris (Portland) and Kayden Hulquist (Pacific Lutheran). The team also featured Stanford commit Logan Smith, a junior. Sophomore Annie Liebich and freshman Samantha Smith are also in the running for all-state honors. This year’s Boise starting lineup was comprised of seven Idaho Rush and four Boise Timber/Thorns ECNL players.
16 Southington Southington, CT 14-0-0*
Season Complete. Central Connecticut Conference Region B champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,970 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Senior Shannon Litchfield scored four goals as Southington rolled over Lewis Mills 6-0 in the conference mini-tournament final. For Litchfield, it was sweet revenge. A year earlier she suffered a broken leg and missed the team's state final loss to Glastonbury. Southington's lineup featured East Carolina signee Abigail Sowa, along with senior Allison Carr, who scored in the final, junior Maya Wroblewski and sophomore Jessica Carr. Goalkeeper Emily Eigo recorded 10 shutouts.
17 Bishop Feehan Attleboro, MA 14-0-0*
Season Complete. Massachusetts Catholic Central League champion.
School Facts: Private, 1,080 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Bishop Feehan held off Bishop Fenwick in a shootout to capture the Catholic Central League title. Villanova signee Francesca Yanchuk was simply unstoppable this season. The senior netted 37 of the team's 88 goals in 14 matches. Bishop Feehan now has back-to-back undefeated seasons and riding a 38-match undefeated streak (37-0-1). Four of the starting 11 played for NEFC GA teams, three play for Scorpions, three played for GPS before it folded and one played for Bayside FC (R.I.).
18 Holmdel Holmdel, NJ 15-0-0*
Season Complete. New Jersey Central East B contender.
School Facts: Public, 950 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Holmdel's season had a heartbreaking ending. The school had to withdraw from the Central East B playoffs from a 4-0 first-round win due to local policy regarding COVID outbreaks. Holmdel watched as Rumson-Fair Haven, a team it defeated two weeks earlier, claimed the Central B title. Penn State signee Sofia Mancino scored the winner in the closing seconds in the 2-1 victory over Rumson-Fair Haven. She also scored the winner in a 2-1 contest with Red Bank Catholic. Mancino finished the season with 19 goals and nine assists.
19 Guerin Catholic Noblesville, IN 16-2-2*
Season Complete. Indiana Class 3A state runner-up.
School Facts: Private, 750 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: When UCLA signee Quincy McMahon suited up for Guerin Catholic, its turned this team into a state title contender. Despite a setback to Carmel during the regular season, Guerin made a run to the final before losing to FAB 50 No. 2 Noblesville 3-0 in the final. In addition to McMahon, Guerin's lineup included junior Emersen Jennings, who has committed to Louisville. Guerin's starting lineup was evenly divided among players from Hoosier FC, Indiana Fire, Indy Premier with one starter from FC Pride. Standout performers also included Evi Bestard, Caroline Quinn, Hailey Abel, Claire Sawyer and Olivia Labus.
20 Father Ryan Nashville, TN 12-1-0*
Season Complete. Tennessee Division II-AA state champion.
School Facts: Private, 925 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Father Ryan scored three second-half goals to rally for a 3-2 state title win over Girls Preparatory School. Bradie West netted the game-winning goal with less than four minutes remaining, and that tally came just moments after favored GPS had tied the match at 2. Tennessee-Chattanooga signee Kelly Tuerff and Olivia Prim scored Father Ryan's other goals. West was named the region MVP.
21 Stillwater Stillwater, MN 13-0-1*
Season Complete. Minnesota Class AA, Section 4 champion.
School Facts: Public, 2,760 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: St. Thomas signee Lexi Huber assisted the first goal and scored the second as Stillwater defeated East Ridge 2-0 in the section final, the highest level of play allowed in Minnesota this fall. Sophia Steblay scored the first goal. Stillwater and East Ridge were meeting in the section final for the third straight season. Marisa Bonilla, a junior, joined Huber on the all-state first team. All 11 starters for Stillwater play club for St. Croix SC.
22 Girls Preparatory School Chattanooga, TN 15-1-0*
Season Complete. Tennessee Division II-AA runner-up.
School Facts: Private, all-girls, 560 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Sasha Carbone gave GPS an early lead and Sydney Morris tied the match at 2 late in regulation before GPS fell 3-2 to Father Ryan in the state final. The loss ended a perfect season for GPS, which also had a regular season win over Class AAA state semifinalist Bearden. Wofford signee Ashley Grant highlighted a starting lineup that was comprised of seven FC Alliance ECNL and four Chattanooga Red Wolves club players.
23 Madison Mansfield, OH 21-0-3*
Season Complete. Ohio Division II state champion.
School Facts: Public, 950, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Led by Tennessee commit Taylor Huff, Madison delivered an undefeated season and a state title. Along the way, Madison tied Division I state runner-up Olentangy, which finished No. 30 in the FAB 50. In a 2-1 state final win over Granville, Nevaeh Lewis scored both goals. The winner was set up by a free kick by Huff, which the opposing keeper mishandled and Lewis was there for the finish. The victory marked the first state title for Madison's program.
24 Ravenwood Brentwood, TN 13-2-2*
Season Complete. Tennessee Class AAA state champion.
School Facts: Public, 1,560 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Ravenwood repeated as Tennessee Class AAA state champs following a shootout win over rival Franklin in a scoreless state final. The senior-heavy Ravenwood lineup featured Nora Henderson (Indiana State), Anna Major (Samford), Josie Ricketts and Marcela Forrero-Preto. Ravenwood's roster featured 13 Tennessee ECNL players, three Tennessee SC players and three from NUSA.
25 Houston Germantown, TN 13-1-0*
Season Complete. Tennessee Class AAA state semifinalist.
School Facts: Public, 1,900 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Houston run at another Top 10 finish ended with a 2-1 loss to Ravenwood, which went on to win the state title. Houston's lineup featured Sydney Somogyi (East Tennessee State), Parker Gelinas (UT Martin), Emma Riales and junior Sydney Dacus, who were all-state players. In addition, Taylor Theofiledes, who scored in the semifinals, and Arkansas State signee Gertie Langford turned in strong seasons.
