The winter high school season includes the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Season Complete. Florida Class 1A state champion.
School Facts: Private, 650 students, grades PK-12.
NOTES: St. Johns Country Day capped a second straight perfect season with a 6-0 thrashing of Miami Country Day in the state final. The victory marked SJCD's state record-tying seventh straight title and extended the program's win streak to 70 matches. The Spartans also posted multi-goal wins over 4A champ Montverde Academy, 3A champ Merritt Island and 2A champ Bolles School during the regular season. SJCD is seeing the end of an era with the graduation of a loaded senior class that includes Florida State signee Kirsten Pavlisko, TCU signee Payton Crews, LSU signee Abbey Newton and Troy signee Alisa Detlefsen. Crews scored twice. Newton had a goal and Detlefsen added three assists. All three players were sixth-graders on the varsity when the title streak started.

Monte Vista Danville, CA 23-0-1
Rachel Anderson and Lily Arbabaraghi netted second-half goals as Monte Vista was able to pull away from Carondelet for a 3-1 victory in the CIF-North Coast Section Division 1 final. The Mustangs move on to the NorCal Regional Championships next week.

Oklahoma signee Jazzy Richards scored four goals last week as The Woodlands defeated College Park and Lufkin.

JSerra advanced to the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 semifinals for the second straight year with a 3-1 win over Santiago.

Kaya Pigoni scored on a header to lead Upland to a 1-0 win over Harvard-Westlake in the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 quarterfinals. The Highlanders next face a red-hot Santa Margarita team that has not allowed a goal since December.

NOTES: Jody Brown, Shayla Smart, Maria Tregansin and Cecilie Neilsen scored the goals as Montverde Academy won its first state title with a 4-0 victory over Estero. Much like the boys program, the girls are building toward a regional powerhouse. The team's only loss this year was to top-ranked St. Johns Country Day.

Santa Margarita defeated Los Osos 2-0 last week to advance to this week's CIF-Southern Section Division 1 semifinals. The Eagles have not allowed a goal in 2018.

School Facts: Private, 1,600 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Archbishop McCarthy built a 4-1 state semifinal lead before suffering a 5-4 loss to Estero in the state semifinals. The Mavericks' stellar season was built on two wins over perennial national power St. Thomas Aquinas.

School Facts: Private, 2,135 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: St. Thomas Aquinas' season ended with a 2-1 loss to Archbishop McCarthy in the regional semifinals. St. Thomas Aquinas and McCarthy played three one-goal matches this season with McCarthy winning twice -- both losses on Aquinas' record. The Raiders had shutout wins over Boca Raton, Oxbridge Academy and Lourdes. McCarthy, Oxbridge Academy and Lourdes' only regular season losses this year are to St. Thomas Aquinas.

NOTES: Alexa Mascaro scored the lone goal with 25 minutes remaining as Lourdes stunned two-time defending champ Oviedo 1-0 in the state final. The Bobcats played two FAB 50 Top 25 teams this year, losing to St. Thomas Aquinas and beating Oviedo. The meeting with Oviedo marked the third time the teams have played in the final, with Oviedo winning the 2013 and 2016 encounters.

Season Complete. Florida Class 5A state runner-up.
School Facts: Public, 2,475 students, grades 9-12.
NOTES: Oviedo was in the national title chase until getting upset by Lourdes in the state final 1-0. The final score marked the end of Oviedo's undefeated streak, which stood at 53 matches. It also marked the first time the Lions had been shut out since Jan., 7, 2016. Oviedo started the season with 21 straight shutout wins and allowed only two goals all season.

Despite a 3-1 setback to Monte Vista in the CIF-North Coast Section Division 1 final, Carondelet advances to next week's NorCal Regional Championships. The Cougars upended Foothill in the semifinals to get a crack at No. 2 Monte Vista.
