FAB 50 High School Soccer Team Rankings

The winter high school season includes the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The rankings are compiled by high school rankings editor Sheldon Shealer.

Coppell traveled to Georgetown where it defeated two of the top-ranked Houston-area teams and kocked off a perennial San Antonio Top 10 squad in Johnson to remain perfect. North Texas commit Haley Roberson had two goals in a win over Kingwood. TCU-bound keeper Lauren Kellett has been part of four shutouts already this season.
2 (2) Montverde Academy Montverde, FL 9-0-0
After more than a month, Montverde Academy actually played a match -- and to no surprise won. The Eagles handled Lake Highland Prep 4-0 on Jan. 13. The team's previous match was Dec. 11. In between, a lengthy winter break and four teams canceling matches against Montverde left the squad a lot of practice time.
3 (3) Monte Vista Danville, CA 9-0-1
Jamie George scored the lone goal, assisted by UCLA commit Megan Edelman, as Monte Vista posted a 1-0 win over San Ramon Valley in a clash of EBAL frontrunners. Edelman also scored twice in the team's 3-1 win over Foothill.
4 (4) Tompkins Katy, TX 7-0-0
Tompkins stayed perfect with a 1-0 win over Bridgeland last week. After a Tuesday match with Baytown Lee, Tompkins starts on a run of perennial tough Katy ISD rivals, which includes such recent powers as Cinco Ranch, Taylor and Seven Lakes.

Upland has shut out nine straight opponents. Upland's 2-0 win over Etiwanda ended that team's 12-match undefeated run.

Allen upended former Top 10-ranked Highland Park 2-0 last week to stay perfect. That win allowed the Eagles to inch higher in this week's SIMA FAB 50.

Flower Mound was held to a scoreless draw by McKinney Boyd last week.

Los Alamitos Los Alamitos, CA 16-3-4
Colorado signee Jayden Newkirk scored three goals as Los Alamitos handled Newport Harbor 4-0 last week. Newkirk also scored in the team's 2-2 draw with Edison.

Cathedral Catholic San Diego, CA 13-2-3
Four different players scored Cathedral Catholic's four goals last week as the team posted wins over Academy of Our Lady of Peace and Scripps Ranch.

Mater Dei Santa Ana, CA 13-1-1
Samantha Baytosh, one of the nation's top 2022 prospects, scored the lone goal as Mater Dei upended JSerra 1-0 in the first of two league meetings between these SoCal powers. The win sends the Lions to the top of the Trinity League standings. Skylar Cano, one of the top SoCal prospects in the Class of 2023, assisted the game-winning goal. UCLA commit Kelly McManus had the shutout in goal.

Sophia Soto won the Hacienda "She Has It" honor as McAllen rolled to a tourney title in its McAllen Girls Soccer Invitational. The Bulldogs routed Juarez-Lincoln 5-1 in the final. The event was set up with two district title contenders from three different districts.

Marcus rolled to three wins at the Duncanville Kickoff, handling Weatherford (6-0), Bishop Lynch (6-0) and Sunset (8-0) to earn first place.

Texas A&M commit Lauren Geczik netted a hat trick in each of St. Agnes' lopsided wins last week.

Amador Valley makes a major leap in the rankings following wins over Foothill and California. Foothill was undefeated until falling to Amador Valley.

Juniors Kristina Constantine and Skylar Blaise scored the goals as St. Francis upended Archbishop Mitty 2-0 in a clash of undefeated teams. The result sends the Lancers to the top of the league standings.

After an early week loss to St. Francis, Mitty bounded back with a 3-1 win over Presentation. Mitty and St. Francis face off again on Feb. 8.

Gabrielle Gruenewald scored three goals and had three assists last week as Hamilton rolled to wins over Phoenix Browne and Westwood.

Ursuline Academy won four matches last week, including three on consecutive days to place second at the Duncanville Kickoff. SIMA FAB 50 No. 10 Flower Mound Marcus, Ursuline and host Duncanville all went 3-0 at the event, but Marcus was declared the champion on points, with Ursuline second.

UCLA commit Lexi Wright scored both goals as Carlsbad upended Torrey Pines 2-0 last week to jump back into the Top 25.

Torrey Pines, which opened the season with a win over Mater Dei, has losses to Cathedral Catholic and Carlsbad, leaving it as the No. 3-ranked team from the CIF-San Diego Section in the SIMA FAB 50.

JSerra lost to Mater Dei 1-0 last week in a clash of SoCal powers last week, which leaves the Lions in a second-place tie with Santa Margarita in the Trinity League behind Mater Dei.
