So the inaugural SPY™ Awards are in the books. After months of preparing for what was a historic night, the event finally took place this past Friday, exceeding the expectations of everyone involved.

To the delight of a packed ballroom at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, this grand show featured laughs, surprises and of course, special recognition.

Host Mike Jerrick, whose career in broadcasting includes co-hosting The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, CNBC's America After Hours and and Good Day Philadelphia, was at his best as he kept the crowd entertained with signature one-liners.

The event’s acceptance speeches were also a highlight, as each award winner was limited to five words as they took the podium. It made for some creative responses.
