Results from the event as well as updated standings can be viewed at the ECNL’s Las Vegas Showcase Web page.

elite girls club soccer players compete in a girls club soccer tournamentThe ECNL picked the best of the best from Vegas for their All-Event team.
With a perfect 9-0 record in the U-15 Challenge A division, Dallas Sting is the only team to secure its place at the top of the standings when the regular-season concludes.

“The atmosphere around these games was the best yet of all the ECNL games,” said ECNL President Christian Lavers. “You could really see that the players understood the meaning of the games, knew where their teams were in the standings, and really competed to get points and move up the table.  It’s in these meaningful environments where top players develop and show their quality, which is the fundamental purpose of the ECNL.”

“The presence of the ECNL Player Identification Program was substantially increased at this event, as dozens of games in the U-15 and U-16 age groups were scouted,” said ECNL Vice President Doug Bracken. “The value of the identification process established by the ECNL Player Identification Program was shown in February when the first 30 players scouted by the ECNL were identified for participation in the id2 National Training Camp held in conjunction with the ECNL in Weston, Fla. From these 30 ECNL scouted players, four were invited into the U.S. U-15 Girls’ “Carry-Over” Camp that began on March 20 – a testament to the quality of players and clubs in the ECNL. The Player Identification Program continues to grow at each event, and it will be a huge part of the ECNL’s contribution to girls’ soccer over the coming years. The matching of meaningful games with objective scouting creates a process where more and more players will be provided the opportunity to be seen at the highest levels in this country.”

One regular-season event – the PDA Showcase, slated for May 28-31 in Zarephath, N.J. – remains before the ECNL National Championship, scheduled for July 15-18 in Seattle.

Final regular-season standings will be determined by the games in the final regular-season event, and the postseason brackets for the ECNL National Championship will be set, including the championship and relegation groups. All 120 teams will participate at the ECNL National Championships.
