Berkeley’s finest moves to No. 1 in TDS 25

California, No. 4 in the rankings last week, improved to 5-0-1 on the season with wins over Colgate and College of Charleston over the weekend. The Golden Bears are back to picking up wins after a draw against Penn State two weeks ago.

Creighton opened Big East play with a 1-0 overtime victory over St. John's on Saturday. The Jays have only let in one goal at home through four games this season, which the squad from Omaha to No. 2 in this week’s rankings.

Last week’s top ranked Tar Heels were held to a scoreless draw against Virginia Tech over the weekend in their second ACC contest. North Carolina also went to overtime against the 1-5-0 Camels of Campbell last week, which was not a flattering display for the Heels who moved to No. 4.

Notre Dame was also held to a draw in the Irish’s ACC clash against Boston College over the weekend. The Irish did show well during the midweek tilt against Michigan and kept the No. 3 spot this week.

Washington climbed into the top five thanks to some negative results by other teams in the rankings. The Huskies rolled past Florida Gulf Coast on Friday to the tune of 5-0, but they were held to a 1-1 draw against Georgia State on Sunday.

Outside of the top five, Northwestern makes it return to the rankings after rattling off six straight wins. The Wildcats are 6-1-0 on the season after losing the opener to UC Santa Barbara.

Furman leaps into the top 25 at No. 17. The Paladins are 5-1-0 on the season and rolling along with a 360-minute shutout streak entering the week.
