With the return of the Division I men’s soccer season, it also marks the return to action for scores of MLS Academy alumni around the country.

While the best of the best from pro academies are all electing to turn pro, plenty out there are still playing college soccer.

Below is a team-by-team look at how MLS Academy alumni fared over the past week at the Division I level.

Chicago Fire

Senior D Patrick Doody started, played 90 minutes and scored a goal in Indiana’s 4-2 win against UCF on Sept. 24. He also started and played 110 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Northwestern on Sept. 28.

Freshman D Grant Lillard started, played 90 minutes and scored a goal in Indiana’s 4-2 win against UCF on Sept. 24. He also started and played 110 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Northwestern on Sept. 28.

Junior M Drew Conner started and played 90 minutes in Wisconsin’s 2-0 loss against Maryland on Sept. 26.

Senior F Tyler Engel started and played 44 minutes in North Carolina’s 2-0 win loss against Notre Dame on Sept. 26.

Junior F Joey Calistri started and played 76 minutes in Northwestern’s 1-0 win against DePaul on Sept. 24. He also started and played 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Indiana on Sept. 28.

Sophomore M Marcus Epps started and played 67 minutes in South Florida’s 1-0 win against Connecticut on Sept. 27.

Freshman F Jeffrey Farina came off the bench, played 36 minutes and scored a goal in Notre Dame’s 2-0 win against North Carolina on Sept. 26. He also came off the bench, played 52 minutes and had an assist in a 1-0 win against VCU on Sept. 30.
