BROOKLINE, Mass. – Junior Kayla Cappuzzo notched her first collegiate two-goal game to carry the Northeastern women's soccer team (3-3-1) to a comprehensive 4-0 win over Holy Cross (1-5-0) on Thursday evening at Parsons Field.

Junior Hannah Lopiccolo and sophomore Hannah Rosenblatt each recorded a goal and an assist, while junior Carly Wilhelm chipped in two assists to move into a tie for seventh place all-time at Northeastern with nine career helpers. 

The Huskies' defense allowed Holy Cross only one shot on goal as sophomore goalkeeper Nathalie Nidetch picked up her second clean-sheet of the campaign.

Goal Recaps
• Cappuzzo put the Huskies on the board in the 21st minute when she latched onto a great lead pass from Rosenblatt and poked the ball by the onrushing Holy Cross keeper to make it 1-0.
• Cappuzzo struck again just over 12 minutes later, racing onto Lopiccolo's beautiful ball over the top of the defense, before finishing inside the right post at 32:57.
• Lopiccolo added a third goal at the 70:36 mark when she flicked the ball inside the right post from the center of the box following a cross by Wilhelm on the left wing.
• Wilhelm then set up Rosenblatt for the fourth goal of the game, whipping in a cross from the right flank for the sophomore to blast home with a first-time finish from close range at 82:01.

• Cappuzzo posted her first collegiate two-goal game and recorded her third career game-winning goal.
• With a goal and an assist, Lopiccolo moved into 12th place all-time at Northeastern with 33 career points.
• Rosenblatt notched three points to give her a team-high eight points on the season (3 goals, 2 assists).
• Wilhelm recorded her first collegiate two-assist game.
• Northeastern pitched its second shutout of the season (Rhode Island).
• The Huskies outshot the Crusaders by a 22-5 margin and held a 12-1 advantage in corner kicks.
• NU scored the first goal of the game for the first time this season.
