Weather Halts Saint Louis, Marquette
August 26, 2012
ST. LOUIS -- Sunday's women's soccer match between Saint Louis and No. 13/9 Marquette was cancelled with 39:31 remaining in the second half due to unplayable field conditions. The game will be recorded as a no-contest.
The game was halted by lightning strikes in the area, with Marquette holding a 1-0 lead. Heavy rain then created several unplayable areas on the Hermann Stadium surface.
The Billikens are back in action Friday, Aug. 31, against Denver. Game time at Hermann Stadium is 7 p.m.
