FORWARDS

Branden Dolezal, San Luis Obispo (Calif.), Sr.

The UC Santa Barbara signee scored 24 goals while leading San Luis Obispo to a 20-2-1 season. Had it not been for an early playoff exit, San Luis Obispo was heading toward a FAB 50 Top 10 finish. Dolezal ended his high school career as a three-time local player of the year.

Jose Gallegos, Central Catholic (San Antonio, Texas), Jr.

Gallegos is one of the nation's top junior high school prospects and spent the summer playing for San Antonio FC, where he even made the USL Team of the Week in June. In high school, Gallegos led Central Catholic to a third straight TAPPS state title. He scored 21 goals and had nine assists. He was named to the San Antonio News-Express Super Team.

Noel Ortega Birmingham (Calif.) Sr.

The Cornell signee was named the Los Angeles Daily News Player of the Year. Ortega returned to the Birmingham lineup as a senior after previously playing in the Development Academy. He guided Birmingham to the LA City Division I title and the CIF Southern Regional semifinals, where the team lost to eventual champion San Clemente. Ortega had 23 goals and 13 assists and Birmingham finished No. 22 in the final Winter FAB 50.

Jose Ortiz, Sam Houston (Arlington, Texas), Jr.

The Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star-Telegraph Player of the Year scored a staggering 59 goals in 27 matches against Texas 6A competition. Ortiz, who has NCAA Division I offers and is rumored to have pro offers, now has 133 high school goals in three seasons.

MIDFIELDERS

Luke Bone, Jesuit (Carmichael, Calif.), Sr.

The UCLA signee contributed 14 goals and 11 assists while leading Jesuit to a Sac-Joaquin section title and a Northern California Regional runner-up finish. Bone was key to the Marauders' 24-3-3 season as the team finished No. 20 in the Winter FAB 50.

Blake Bowen, San Clemente (Calif.), Sr.

The San Diego State signee was named the Orange County Register and CIF Southern Section Division 1 Player of the Year after guiding San Clemente to section and regional titles. He finished with 18 goals and 15 assists as San Clemente ended the season on a 21-match undefeated streak. The Tritons ended the season ranked No. 4 in the Winter FAB 50.

Kalani Kossa-Rienzi, Berkeley (Calif.), Jr.

The Washington commit was named the Prep2Prep North Coast Section Player of the Year. Kossa-Rienzi was the driving force in Berkeley’s North Coast Section title run, which ended with a 4-1 win over perennial power De La Salle. Kossa-Rienzi ended with 25 goals and 18 assists.

Henry Smith-Hastie Loyola (Calif.) Sr.

The SMU signee named the Mission League MVP. Smith-Hastie, whose older brother plays for Boston College, also earned CIF Southern Section Division 1 all-star first team honors. He was the leading scored for a Loyola team that went 23-2-3 and finished No. 16 in the final Winter FAB 50.

DEFENDERS

Bernardo Gracindo, Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.), Sr.

The Northeastern signee led a Montverde team that shut out seven of its last nine opponents to close out an eighth nationally ranked season in a row. Montverde Academy ended No. 2 in the Winter FAB 50.

Deric Hall, Brophy Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.), Sr.

The Air Force signee was named the Arizona Class 6A Player of the Year after helping Brophy Prep to a state title. It's seldom a defensive player wins state Player of the Year honors, and Hall ended up a clear favorite this season, in which he also scored 10 goals and served up 12 assists. Brophy Prep finished No. 11 in the Winter FAB 50.

Mark Roby, Marcus (Flower Mound, Texas), Sr.

The South Carolina signee was named to the Dallas Morning News All-Metro first team after claiming District 6-6A Defensive Player of the Year honors.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Mike Pronier, San Clemente (Calif.)

Under Pronier, San Clemente has become a national power in the past decade and the 2018-19 team put it all together for a first-ever treble for the Tritons. San Clemente won the league, section and regional championships for the first time, which is no easy task in the ultra-competitive CIF Division 1 ranks. San Clemente ended the season with a 21-match undefeated streak that included five wins over nationally ranked teams to end the season. During San Clemente's magical run, Pronier, who just completed his 31st season as head coach, went over the 400-win mark.
