The men’s Division I recruiting process is coming into focus in April, with the spring and summer months all standing between now and the start of the college season.

International additions are coming to light as well, which could leave mark on the men’s Division I season for this fall and beyond.

With that in mind, there are a few changes in the latest edition of the Recruiting Rankings. Below is the latest 2019 men’s top 25 recruiting classes update, powered by the 2019 Boys IMG Academy Top 150.

1. UC Irvine*

Commitments: M Jorge Hernandez (LA Galaxy – No. 17), D Kwabena Boateng (Sacramento Republic FC – No. 42), F Mario Anaya (San Jose Earthquakes – No. 77), M Edward Berumen (Sacramento Republic FC – No. 113), M Oscar Cervantes (LA Galaxy – No. 140), M Diego Aragon (FC Golden State), F Rafael Espinoza (Pateadores), D Ricardo Ibarra (San Jose Earthquakes), M Roberto Molina (Barca Academy)

Transfers: M/F Eder Oliva (Irvine Valley College), M Carlos Becerra (Coastal Carolina), D Seamus McLaughlin (San Francisco)

Having already revealed its 2019 class, UC Irvine has a solid chance at finishing atop the rankings. With an impressive crop of California talent, the Big West program should continue to trend upwards last this year.

2. Stanford*

Commitments: F Ousenna Bouda (Black Rock FC – No. 9), F Gabe Segal (Bethesda SC – No. 14), M Cameron Cilley (San Jose Earthquakes – No. 64), GK Alex Rando (NYCFC – No. 80), Keegan Hughes (Crew SC Academy – No. 127), M Carlo Agostinelli (Harrow School), D M Mark Fisher (Michigan Wolves), M Keegan Tingey (San Jose Earthquakes)

At this point in the recruiting chase, Stanford might as well be 1a behind UC Irvine, adding two of the best attacking players in the 2019 class that are going to college in Bouda and Segal.

3. North Carolina

Commitments: D Blake Malone (Seattle Sounders – No. 24), D Julian Hinojosa (FC Dallas – No. 36), M Cameron Fisher (Barca Academy – No. 48), F Key White (Richmond United – No. 123), D Samuel Moore (Richmond United – No. 145), F Jose Aldaco (Orlando City), M Cristian Coelho (Houston Dynamo), GK Jacob Schick (Chargers SC)

Blake Malone signed his NLI to join the Tar Heels and should end up making the journey from Seattle to Chapel Hill next fall. It’s a strong crop for the ACC side to bring in after losing significant talent to graduation. Key White and Samuel Moore, both from Richmond United, are two to watch in particular.
