MAAC Announces 2018 MAAC Awards
EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its women's All-Academic awards on Tuesday morning. The Iona College women's soccer team has 15 student-athletes on the team.
Sophomores Katie Benson, Julia Caracappa, Angelina DeCicco, Kelsie Kearns, Lisette Paolomo and redshirt-shirt freshman Mackenzie Meixner are all on the team in their first year eligibility.
Junior members of the MAAC All-Academic team include Mariah Elsenheimer, Ciara Guglielmo, Treloara Harrisson, Madeleine Lessard and Julia Peschetti. Seniors Corinne Burns, Sara Mangialardi and Megan Wood are joined by graduate student Christine Rebus. Rebus closes her Iona career as a four-time MAAC All-Academic Team member. The three seniors are all three-time recipients.
Harrison, Lessard, Peschetti, and Elsenheimer all repeat honorees. Guglielmo, who transferred to Iona from Duquesne, earns her first MAAC accolade.
