With summer nearly hear, that means college soccer preseason can't be too far away.

Between now and then, top men's Division I program will be sweating the arrivals of some of their best recruits on campus, as the option to go pro will loom up until August.

Even in that backdrop, changes are here for the latest Top 25 recruiting class rankings. Part of that was two huge additions in May, vaulting them even further up the rankings. Below is the June update, with just one more in July to come before the final rankings in August.

Please send any corrections or omissions to editor@topdrawersoccer.com.

1. North Carolina

Commitments: D Blake Malone (Seattle Sounders – No. 24), D Julian Hinojosa (FC Dallas – No. 36), M Cameron Fisher (Barca Academy – No. 48), F Key White (Richmond United – No. 123), F Jonathan Jimenez (NYCFC – No. 136), D Samuel Moore (Richmond United – No. 145), D Lenny Aharon (Maccabi Tel Aviv), M Sebastian Berhalter (Crew SC Academy), M Cristian Coelho (Houston Dynamo), GK Marco Perez (New England Revolution), GK Jacob Schick (Chargers SC)

Transfers: F Santiago Herrera (UCLA)

While North Carolina’s complete class has yet to drop, the newly unearthed commitments for 2019 have vaulted the Tar Heels into the No. 1 spot. Already boasting a formidable group, the news that Sebastian Berhalter reclassified and will join the program this fall is massive; along with Jonathan Jimenez, a Top 150 recruit, submitting his commitment, UNC deservedly takes over in the May update to the 2019 men’s recruiting class rankings.

2. Indiana*

Commitments: F Joshua Penn (Sockers FC – No. 13), F Victor Bezerra (Chicago Fire – No. 47), F M Aidan Morris (Columbus Crew – No. 72), Brennan Conger (DC United – No. 86), D Andrew Goldsworthy (Indiana Fire Academy – No. 149), D Brett Bebej (Chicago Fire Academy), M Luka Boha (Alliance FC), GK Roman Celentano (Sockers FC), F Maouloune Goumballe (Crew SC Academy), F Herbert Endeley (Minneapolis United), M Quinten Helmer (AZ Alkmaar), M Alex McGill (Indiana Fire Academy)

Transfers: D Simon Waever (Evansville), M Joris Ahlinvi (Florida International)

With the additions of Ahlinvi and Helmer after the previous update, the Hoosiers jump into the No. 2 spot, as the pair of players have the pedigree and quality to be high-impact players for this fall and beyond.

3. UC Irvine*

Commitments: M Jorge Hernandez (LA Galaxy – No. 17), D Kwabena Boateng (Sacramento Republic FC – No. 42), F Mario Anaya (San Jose Earthquakes – No. 77), M Edward Berumen (Sacramento Republic FC – No. 113), M Oscar Cervantes (LA Galaxy – No. 140), M Diego Aragon (FC Golden State), F Rafael Espinoza (Pateadores), D Ricardo Ibarra (San Jose Earthquakes), M Roberto Molina (Barca Academy)

Transfers: M/F Eder Oliva (Irvine Valley College), M Carlos Becerra (Coastal Carolina), D Seamus McLaughlin (San Francisco), GK Ford Parker (New Mexico)

Formerly at the top of the rankings, UCI’s move to the No. 3 spot is more about the new talent revealed by UNC and Indiana than anything about the Big West program. With an impressive crop of California talent, they should continue to trend upwards later this year.
