Mark Forrest named to All-Region First Team

December 6, 2018

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The awards keep piling in for Lehigh men's soccer senior Mark Forrest, who has been named to the All-Atlantic Region First Team, announced by United Soccer Coaches on Wednesday.

Forrest had another stellar season capped off by winning his second straight Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year award, where he tallied eight goals and five assists for 21 points. He finishes his outstanding career with the Mountain Hawks with 41 career goals and 103 career points, second all-time in Lehigh and Patriot League history.

This is the second time Forrest has been named to the First Team after garnering honors in 2017. He was a Third Team selection in 2015, his freshman season.

The senior was also named a Senior CLASS Award finalist, which is given to the player who represents themselves as the 'total student-athlete.'

Forrest will leave Lehigh as one of the most decorated players in program history, leaving quite the legacy.

"I'm happy and proud of Mark for being selected to be on the All-Region First Team," said head coach Dean Koski. "It's well-deserved and one more honor that will help solidify his legacy as being one of the best forwards to play at Lehigh and in the Patriot League."

The Patriot League had seven representatives on the Atlantic Region First Team with four from Loyola, one from Colgate and one from Army, along with Forrest. Three players were named to the Second Team and three were named to the Third Team.
