Here is the Players To Watch Team of the Month in August for the Texas region.

Remember, this feature is to honor top performers in their region over the past month or so and across the span of age groups. There will be a boys' list and a girls' list, and a new region will be covered every weekday, Tuesday through Friday of each month. You can submit nominations at teamofthemonth@topdrawersoccer.com .

Following is the Boys List, in no particular order.

Cooper Whitfield, Dallas Texans 97 Red Dallas U14, Forward - Was the leading scorer for on his Dallas Texans team at the US Youth National Championships. Whitefield scored 2 of the teams 4 goals in the tournament, both coming in the Texans 3-1 victory over Smithtown Arsenal.

Alan Winn, Solar Chelsea 96 U15, Forward
- After an impressive performance at the Region III Championships in June, Winn tallied a team best 2 goals at the US Youth National Championships. Both goals came in Solar's 3-0 victory against eventual under 15 runner up, Michigan Jaguars.

Clinton Craft and Jordan Stiner, Dallas Texans Red Dallas U17 - The duo each netted a game winner in the Texans 3 games at the US Youth National Championships.
 
Jorge Martinez, Dallas Texans 92 U19, Forward
Lead his team in scoring at the US Youth National Championships with 3 goals. Two of the goals came back-to-back in the team’s 3-2 victory over Sereno 92 White.
 
Caleb Richardson, Dallas Texans Academy U17/U18, Forward - In addition to being named the top rated SPARQ athlete in the US Soccer Development Academy, Richardson lead his Dallas Texans team to a third place finish at the Development Academy Finals Week. Richardson's play over the week earned him 2 USSoccer.com Man of the Match titles.
 
Jon Top, FC Dallas U17/18 Academy, Forward - His early game winner gave FC Dallas a victory in game 1 of Finals Week versus Baltimore Bays Chelsea and earned him the USSoccer.com Man of the Match.
 
Victor Ulloa, FC Dallas U17/18 Academy, Winger
- Ulloa had an impressive 2-goal effort in FC Dallas' hard-fought 2-2 draw against CASL Chelsea FC Academy. The impressive performance by Victor earned him the USSoccer.com Man of the Match honor.
 
Andre Reyes, Dallas Texans U15/16 Academy, Central Midfielder - Played consistently well through the Texans 4 games at the US Soccer Development Academy Finals week. Reyes' top performance came in the Texans 7th place consolation match where he had a goal and assist in the team’s 3-1 victory over CASL Chelsea FC Academy.
 
Fernando Piña, Houston Dynamo U17 Academy, Keeper - Despite the 2-1 loss, the Dynamo goalie had an impressive first game of the 2011 Generation Adidas Cup against the San Jose Earthquakes. Piña stopped a penalty kick then posted a shutout in the next game with a 1-0 victory over D.C. United.

Antonio Aguilar, FC Dallas Premier U15, Forward - The forwards performance over his FC Dallas teams 3 games at the US Youth National Championship earned himself a spot on the tournaments under 15 Best 11 team.

Following is the Girls List, in no particular order:

Mimi Asom, Sting 97 U14, Forward
- Asom had a quality showing throughout the entire USYSA National Championships. Asom was named the winner of the under 14 Golden Boot award.
 
Alyssa Palacios, Sting 97 U14, Keeper
- The goalkeeper allowed only 2 goals in her Sting teams 4-game tournament at the US Youth National Championships. In addition to winning the team title, Palacios was awarded the tournaments under 14 Golden Glove award.

Madelyn Crabtree, Sting 95 U16, Forward - The feisty forward had a standout, team leading, 4 goal performance in Sting's 4 games at the US Youth National Championships. Crabtree netted 2 goals for her team in the dramatic final match against Hurricane FC 95 Shubert, including the tying goal in the 84 minute that set the match up for overtime and an eventual National Championship title for Sting.  Crabtree was named to the tournaments U16 Best 11 team.
 
Alyssa Diggs, Dallas Texans 92 Red, Forward
- Her game-winning goal in the preliminary round of the US Youth National Championships against Real Colorado National 91/92, earned the Texans a chance to face the Colorado side again in the finals. Diggs was also the recipient of the under 19 Golden Boot Award and earned a spot on the U19 Best 11 team.
 
Shelby Redman, Dallas Texans 92 Red, Forward
- The SMU Mustang, who returned to her Dallas Texans club for the summer, had an excellent run through State Cup and Region III Championships. She capped it off with an age group leading 3 goals in the National Championship tournament, including the game and championship winner in the 111th minute in the Texans overtime 2-1 victory against Real Colorado National.

Mikaela Harvey, Lonestar SC U15, Central Midfielder
- Harvey netted the U15 ECNL National Championship game-winning goal in Lonestar SC's 1-0 victory of Carmel United.
 
Katie Uhler, Lonestar SC U15, Winger - Uhler showed consistently well throughout the entire ECNL National Championship tournament. Her services and smart play from out wide earned her the game-winning goal in Lonestar SC's 2-1 Semi-final victory over Slammers SC.
 
Mykel Ward, Sting '95 U16, Defender
- The defender played an intricate role in her team’s impressive backline throughout the entire US Youth National Championship Tournament. Ward also netted the game and National Championship winning goal in overtime of Sting's 4-3 victory over Hurricane FC 95 Shubert.

Kendall McKnight, Sting '95 U16, Defender
- After a strong performance in the ECNL National Championships and US Youth Region III Championships earlier in the month, McKnight continued to impress at the US Youth National Championships in both the midfield and defense. McKnight began the summer with the U17 WNT at the Home Depot Center for early preparations for the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
 
Michaela Abam, Albion Hurricanes FC U14, Defender - Abam's exceptional play this past season and at the US Youth Region III ID camp earlier this summer earned her a spot for the second year in a row, at the U14 Girls National Team ID Camp in Portland, Oregon.

Sophie Groff and Jasmine Hart, Dallas Texans 95 Red U16
- The duo had standout performances at the US Youth National Championship earning them both a spot on the tournaments under 16 Best 11 team.
