Depth is the key for U.S. U17 MNT
The U.S. U17 Men’s National Team is off to Honduras this week for the 2015 CONCACAF Championship. The U.S. opens up group play on Friday against Cuba in a contest that should set the tone for the U.S. at the event.
The young U.S. squad is trying to erase some of the memories from the past edition and return to the World Cup after making it to 14 in a row before failing in 2013. For head coach Richie Williams, this is his second try at the CONCACAF Championship and a chance at redemption after the surprising collapse in 2013. This cycle has been his all along with his selection of the Residency roster from the first semester to the last.
Will the U.S. learn from previous hiccups? Or will history repeat? There is one factor that remains the key for the success of the team in the coming weeks.
