The ECNL kicks off October with a bang this weekend. There is a showcase event in Indiana for a handful of U14 teams. There are rivalry games all over the country and there are plenty of other meaningful fixtures dotting the schedule elsewhere.

Check out a preview of a small sampling of the games on the schedule this weekend below.

Solar Chelsea Soccer Club has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season with five wins and five shutouts. Solar returns to the field this weekend for games against AHFC and Lonestar SC, which highlights the schedule from the Texas Conference. Kayley Ables and Sydney Nobles lead the way in the attack for Solar with three goals each this season.

Arsenal FC makes the trek from Southern California to Nevada this weekend for games against Las Vegas Premier SA and Heat FC. The Sunday tilt against Heat represents a matchup between the second and third place teams in the Southwest Conference for this age group. Norma Lozano and Sarai Zedingil have combined to score eight goals this season for Arsenal.

Indiana is the place to be this weekend with Penn Fusion SA, Internationals SC, Ohio Elite Soccer Academy, Concorde Fire, St. Louis Scott Gallagher Illinois, Carmel United, Sockers FC, and Ohio Premier all in town for mini-event with three games in two days.

FC Virginia plays host to CASL on Saturday in a Chesapeake Division showdown. Virginia leads the division at this point thanks to the scoring outburst of Amy Thompson, who has two goals and six assists on the campaign. CASL counters with Brianna Pinto who has three goals and an assist in three appearances in 2014. CASL also takes on McLean Youth Soccer during its trip to Virginia this weekend.

D’Feeters Soccer Club is trying to keep its undefeated season alive this weekend with a game against Dallas Sting. D’Feeters sit in third place in the division with a 2-0-4 record. Sting is in fourth with a 3-2-1 mark. D’Feeters midfielder Taylor Moon has been the story of the season through the opening games with five goals and two assists to her name.

Sporting Blue Valley heads to Illinois this weekend for games against Sockers FC and Eclipse Select Soccer Club. Sporting is searching for its first win of the season after a slow start to the year. Parker Goins and Taylor Malham are not far behind with each contributing three goals and four assists this season for the prolific Hurricane attack.

U17

A local rivalry is also on display in Georgia this weekend where GSA takes on Atlanta Fire. Both teams have a 1-1-1 record in the U17 age group and are battling for a position in the Southeast Conference standings. Auburn(w) commit Katie Hickman leads the GSA attack with four goals this season.

In Northern California, De Anza Force takes on local rival Mustang SC on Sunday. Delaney Pridham, the younger sister of former Cal Poly star Mac Pridham, leads the Northwest Conference in goals scored with six.

U18

The Colorado showdown is on full display in every ECNL age group this weekend, but it takes the cake in the U18 fixture. Both Rush and Real are undefeated in the oldest age group heading into the weekend. Santa Clara(w) commit Grace Cutler leads the way for Real with nine goals already this season. Goalkeeper Sabrina Macias and the Colorado Rush defense have yet to concede a goal. Will Rush’s defense stop Cutler and company or is the Real attack to prolific to slow down?
