New York Red Bulls take the lead at U13

New York Red Bulls land at No 1, having started the season 5-0, including a 3-1 win over Philadelphia Union, on goals by Dion Ahmetaj, Eligio Guarino, and Adam Havens. Aldo Munoz and Derek Polanco have split time in goal, conceding just twice thus far.

Sockers FC remains undefeated and climbs nine spots to No. 16. Forward Luca Iaccino scored all seven goals in Sockers opening win against St. Louis Scott Gallagher Metro, and has added three since to push his season total to 10.

New No. 1 at U14

LA Galaxy takes over the top spot this week with a 6-0 record and an enormous goal differential over its opponents. The Galaxy’s top two scorers have a combined 26 goals in these six matches, 2020 standout Victor Cano and No. 22 Marco Ceja with 12 and 14 goals, respectively. But their totals are just over half of the team’s, which has scored 42 goals, and all of this without the help of No. 1 Efrain Alvarez, who is playing up with the 16s.

Lonestar, who climbs to No. 11, continues its run through the Texas Conference, and like the Galaxy, is 6-0 midway through October. Though it doesn’t face No. 2 FC Dallas until November 12, and Lonestar is not as prolific as the Galaxy, it does have a force to be reckoned with in Class of 2020 forward Kaya Ignacio, who has nine goals on the season.

Boca Juniors reach the top at U15

Boca Juniors continues to lead the Coast Soccer League, five points ahead of No. 17 Total Futbol Academy, and takes of the top spot in the Grande Sports TeamRank Top 25.

West Coast FC Wallace leads the Southern California Developmental Soccer League Champions Division, with a loss to Pateadores IER just keeping WCFC from a perfect record. WCFC continues to lead the California Regional League as well, and climbs to No. 6 as a result.

Next Thursday: U13, U14, and U15 Girls

Grande Sports TeamRank is the comprehensive team-ranking system devised by TopDrawerSoccer.com to provide an objective and common-sense approach to determining which elite youth soccer teams are the best in the nation.

The rankings, updated monthly, are primarily results-based, with a nod toward the league and championship competitions that emulate how excellence is determined in leading soccer nations around the world.

Tournaments are also included but at a reduced value due to the many mitigating factors involving such events, including attrition and guest players.

A final layer of executive evaluation is provided to account for variables that often impact results, thus ensuring that the monthly lists are not subjective, but are not purely mechanical.
