See TeamRank National Championship rankings criteria

The TeamRank National Championship is a unique rankings setup that only includes team performance from the current season. It begins with events in August and ends with final events in July, at which point a new competition begins and the slate is again wiped clean. Each ranking is only for that August to July season.

So who are the top girls’ teams in all of the country? Well, that’s what we’ll be tracking from now until the end of the season. Today, we take a look at a few of the early leaders of our TeamRank National Ranking.

The U15 SAC United Premier, of Maryland, is a group that’s already off to a red hot start. National finalists from a year ago, SAC captured the Disney Showcase this month and is a U.S. Youth Soccer National League winner.

A national championship is clearly in play this season, especially with players like Imani Dorsey leading the way. Dorsey is one of the best young strikers around and is joined by talented teammates Madalena Boccio, Karli Cirovski, Megan Hinz and Danielle Hogarth.

On the West Coast, California’s U14 Arsenal FC Magicjacks G96 currently leads its age group and has won early tournaments like the OC Tournament of Champions and Arsenal Gunners Cup.  

The U13 San Diego Surf White, coached by Jose Ocampo, have a great pedigree, coming from a long line of standout players and teams.
