Orange County SC announced the signing of U.S. U17 Men's National Team center back Kobi Henry to a professional contract on Thursday. Per club policy, the terms of the player contract were not released.

“We are thrilled to add Kobi, a very talented and one of the best young players in his position in the US to our roster,” said OCSC President of Soccer Operations, Oliver Wyss said in the press release. “Kobi has shown great maturity on and off the field and we are convinced that he has a great professional career in front of him. Adding another US Youth International to our club shows that we continue to strive to be at the forefront of player development in the US.”

Henry previously played for Inter Miami Academy and featured 16 times during the 2019-2020 Boys Development Academy season.

“Signing my first professional contract is a dream come true and I am excited to live what I’ve been working towards for so many years,” Henry said according to the club's press release to announce the signing. “I am thrilled to meet my teammates and get to work on and off the field and continue to develop in a professional environment with the help of the amazing staff at Orange County."

He is the 8th current Youth National Team player on the Orange County SC roster. Francis Jacobs and Blake Malone are two others.
