Potential players for boys national teams
The U.S. U19 Men’s National Team went 0-3 at the Copa del Atlantico in Spain last week. The U.S. failed to score a goal at the tournament. The youth national team was using the event as an opportunity for a number of new players to get a look with the Federation after enjoying success at the club level.
The expanding player pool offered the coaching staff a chance to see who could possibility contribute at this level moving forward. While the results were not positive, the increased focus on expanding the player pool backs up the claims that the new coaches in charge of the youth national teams will be open to fresh faces at upcoming events.
TopDrawerSoccer takes a look at some potential candidates who could be in line for a call-up on the boys side in the U17 and U16 age groups.
