Standouts from U17/U16 WNT scrimmage
CHULA VISTA, California — If the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team is the best team in the world in this age group (and every indication so far is that they are), then the U.S. U16 Girls National Team might be in the conversation for second in those imaginary rankings. The younger squad pushed the older squad at every turn on Thursday during the scrimmage at the Olympic Training Center.

Over the course of the 90-minute game, there were a number of performances that stood out from a very talented crop of players vying to be a part of this age group for the 2016 U17 World Cup.
Thursday was the first of two scrimmages this week from the combined camp. Here are some of the players that put on stellar performances on the picturesque day in Southern California.
