BARBOURSVILLE, West Virginia — The second day of action at a rain hit U.S. Youth Soccer Region 1 Championship saw players battle through soggy fields to try and string together some soccer.

Stakes were high, but the schedule had to be shuffled around as a deluge of passing storms forced the closure of some fields.
