ATLANTA, Ga. – The North Florida men's soccer team fell in non-conference action, 4-1 to Georgia State (1-3) this evening. The Panthers strung together three, second half goals as the Ospreys drop to 2-3 on the season.

Georgia State, who came into the game seeking its first goal of the season, broke out in a big way win the final 20 minutes of the game. With the game tied at one, the Panthers scored three times in nearly a six-minute span to claim their first victory of the year.

The go-ahead goal was scored in the 70th minute by Jad Elkhalil who beat Osprey goalkeeper Juanes Fajardo in one-on-one situation. A little over two minutes later the Panthers took advantage of a free kick just outside the box. Aaron Jones curled a shot around the Osprey wall that ended up in the top right hand corner of the net. Amiri Abraham capped the Georgia State scoring in the 76th minute with a left footed blast from the top of the box.

A miscue in the box by the North Florida defense resulted in the game's first goal just 9:49 into the contest. A ball that was set to be cleared came off the head of an Osprey defender near the top of the box and trickled all the way into the back right corner of the net.

The Ospreys load goal tied the score up at one and came in the 32nd minute. Junior Christian Pedroza came up with a deflected cross and fired a low shot into the back right corner of the net. The goal was Pedroza's second of the season.

Fajardo, who made his first career start in goal for the Ospreys made three saves, including two early on in the second half to keep the score tied at one. His counterpart CJ Cochran made two saves for his first victory of the season.

The Ospreys were outshot by the Panthers, 9-5 in the final 45 minutes and 13-7 for the game.

The Ospreys will wrap up their four-game road trip with a match against UCF on Wednesday night. The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Orlando.
