Bowling Green women's head coach steps down
March 3, 2012
Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University Director of Athletics Greg Christopher announced today that Andy Richards will no longer serve as BGSU's women's soccer coach. Assistant coach Kellie Evans will serve as interim head coach for the 2012 season.
"We would like to thank Andy for his years of service and contributions to BGSU women's soccer," Christopher said. "That being said, it is in the best interest of the program that we move in another direction. I have great confidence in Kellie and her ability to move the program forward through this transition."
In 12 seasons at Bowling Green, Richards was 108-121-27 overall and 58-62-16 in MAC play. His teams won the MAC Tournament in 2004 and 2005, along with a regular season title in 2005.
A national search to fill the head coach position will begin in November after the conclusion of the 2012 soccer season.
