Fort Lewis ranked No. 3 in men’s soccer for fourth week in a row
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Fort Lewis College men’s soccer team (19-1-0 overall) remained at No. 4 in 11th NCAA Division II poll of the season, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and Continental Tire announced earlier yesterday.
The Skyhawks beat Colorado Mines 3-1 last Friday and No. 19 Metro State last Sunday in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference semifinals and championship game, respectively.
No. 3 Fort Lewis will host No. 19 Metro State (14-6-1) in the NCAA Division II Super Region 4 first round at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 11) at Dirks Field. Gates will open at 1 p.m.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for students (with ID), senior citizens (age 65 and older), and children (ages 6-12). Children five and younger are admitted free of charge.
Fort Lewis won the 2011 RMAC regular season and postseason championships this year.
Three RMAC teams appeared in the final poll of the season: No. 3 Fort Lewis, No. 19 Metro State, and No. 23 Regis (13-4-1). Colorado Mines (11-7-1) also received votes.
