Tribe's Mallory a Familiar Name to JMU Fans:  William and Mary features the CAA’s top scorer in senior All-America midfielder Mallory Schaeffer (7 goals, 16 points).  Schaeffer, the 2011 CAA Player of the Year, has a tie to the JMU program -- she’s the younger sister of former JMU midfielder Melanie Schaeffer ('08), who was a three-year starter for the Dukes.

Wilson, Germain Move Up on Career Lists:  Junior Lauren Wilson, who had a goal and an assist Sept. 14 at Navy, has moved from 15th place to tied for 14th on JMU's career goals list.  Her career total of 18 leaves her tied with Sarah Cebulski (2003-06).  Just ahead of Wilson on the list is Teri Joyce (1999-02) with 19 goals.
Wilson increased her career points total to 45 and moved from 22nd place to 21st place on JMU's all-time points list.  She's just two points from 18th place (Cebulski with 47).
Redshirt junior Kelly Germain had an assist in the Navy game and moved from 24th to tied for 23rd on JMU's all-time list.  She's one assist away from 21st place, currently shared by Abby Karpinski (2000-03) and Jess Remmes (2006-09), who each had 13 career assists.

Back on the Road:  JMU, which wrapped up a stretch of four straight road games Sept. 14 at Navy, is back on the road again this week.
After a Sept. 16 home game vs. Charlotte, the Dukes open league play at Old Dominion on Sept. 20 and follow that with another CAA match at William and Mary on Sept. 23.
JMU is winless (0-4) away from home this season.

Staying Close:  Six of JMU's games have been decided by one goal.  The Dukes have dropped five one-goal games.

A Tough Slate:  The Dukes have lost games to two Top 25 teams and to three other teams ranked first, fifth and 10th, respectively, in regional polls.  It's been a tough season so far for JMU, and the team's current five-game losing streak is the longest in school history.  Previously the Dukes lost four consecutive matches on four occasions (1997-98; 2000; 2003; 2005-06).

Four Opponents Projected for NCAA Field:  Four JMU opponents are projected to be among the 64 teams in the 2012 NCAA Tournament field, according to the website TopDrawerSoccer.com.  The weekly rankings are a running attempt to project the postseason NCAA Tournament qualifiers, including every automatic conference berth.
JMU regular-season opponents on the Week 6 rankings, released Sept. 17, are
        #10 Virginia (Sept. 9, L 1-4))
        #13 Georgetown (Aug. 24, L 0-1)

        #49 Navy (Sept. 14, L 2-3)
