The third National Women’s Soccer League season is slated to kick off this weekend, in what marks a massive season for the fledging women’s professional league.
With the Women’s World Cup this summer, a number of stars will be missing a large chunk of the season. But it could also create ample playing time for first-year pros in particular, with those making the college to NWSL jump getting early chances to impress.
Below are eight first-year players to keep an eye on as the NWSL campaign kicks off on Friday.
