Owls Shut Out Ravens
BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Rosemont women's soccer team was outshot by a count of 24-1, and although Rosemont's junior keeper Gina Donnelly (Philadelphia HS for Girls/Horsham, Pa.) stopped 14 shots from the Bryn Mawr Owls, three Owls shots found the sweet part of the goal leading the home side to a 3-0 win over the Ravens. The loss evened up Rosemont's overall record at 1-1 while Bryn Mawr won their opening game of the year in their Bryn Mawr Invitational Tournament.
Given the lopsided comparison of shots, the Ravens ceded only the three goals in the 10th, 50th and 61st minutes of the game. Coach Aaron Tritch was proud of his team, saying the "girls showed a ton of courage and kept great attitudes throughout the course of the game. I am proud to say I am their coach and I appreciate the opportunity all of their sacrifices have given me."
The Ravens return to Bryn Mawr tomorrow to play the Sweetbriar Vixens in the tournament's consolation game beginning at 3:00pm.
