'Roos Fall 3-1 to Saint Louis on the Road
(Kansas City, Mo.) – On Sunday evening, the UMKC women’s soccer team (1-3-3) fell to the Saint Louis Billikens (2-4), 3-1.
In the first half, the Billikens got off to a fast with a goal by defender Sabrina Hostler in the eighth minute. The goal was assisted by forward’s freshman Abbey Stock and sophomore Jenny Hummert.
Later in the first, Abbey Stock scored a goal of her own, assisted by senior midfielder Collen Kustra, to make the score 2-0.
In the second half, Stock was not done. During the 56th minute, she connected on her second goal of the game, assisted by Hostler.
The ‘Roos tacked on a goal in the 82nd minute to make the score 3-1 by way of junior midfielder Zaina Mayer, her first of the season. Sophomore midfielder by Jordan Andrzejewski was credited with the assist.
Next up for the ‘Roos, they will stay in-state and hit the road to face Missouri State on Friday and Missouri on Sunday.
