Patriot League Release

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Patriot League has announced its slate of weekly awards Monday, with two Mountain Hawks garnering honors for men's soccer.

Sophomore Trevor Koski was named Midfielder of the Week for his performance against Rider last Tuesday. Koski delivered the assist in the 103rd minute that led to Josh Luchini's golden goal that knocked off the Broncs in double overtime. Against Penn on Saturday, Koski was aggressive early against the Quakers' goalkeeper Scott Forbes, with a quality shot on goal in the 33rd minute.

For the second straight week and the sixth time in his career, junior Will Smith was named Goalkeeper of the Week. Smith finished the week 1-0-1 with two more shutouts, upping his total to four to start the season. He made four saves against Rider and kept the Broncs out of the net for over 103 minutes. Smith stopped four shots against Penn on Saturday, holding the Quakers scoreless through two overtime periods. With his performance, he lowered his season goals against average to 0.81.

"I'm always proud of our players when they achieve player of the week recognition. The league does a great job of selecting worthy candidates and both Will and Trevor had exceptional games against Rider and Penn," said head coach Dean Koski

"I thought Tyler Dressman and Josh Luchini were also exceptional this week for our team. While the individual honors are great, all the players want the team to be successful first and foremost."

The Mountain Hawks begin their Patriot League season on Saturday against Army at West Point at 7 p.m.
