TERRE HAUTE, Ind.- The Missouri State's soccer team (7-5-3, 3-1-1) got a late first half goal by senior Samantha Aguilar and got a 1-1 draw with the Sycamores (5-8-3, 2-2-1) in Terre Haute, Ind., tonight.

Indiana State got on the board first when Casey Allbright kicked in a rebound.  Missouri State goalkeeper Jessica Teahan made the initial save on Allbright, but gave up a rebound that the Sycamores used to go up 1-0 at the 18 minute mark.

Aguilar would answer as she stole the ball just outside the box and drilled the shot just under the crossbar to tie the match in the 44th minute.  The goal is Aguilar’s team-leading fourth of the season and 14th of her career.  She is now tied for seventh on the Missouri State all-time goals scored list with Alina Alaimo.

The Bears’ offense got plenty of pressure on the Sycamores’ defense, earning seven corners and outshooting Indiana State 19-13.  Eleven of Missouri State’s shots were on goal.

Aguilar and Becky Handley led Missouri State with four shots apiece, while Megan Jaskowiak added three shots of her own.  The Bears got five shots away in overtime with two on frame, but couldn’t get the decisive goal.

Jessica Teahan made four saves in the match, three of which came in the second half and overtime.

"We played a very organized and physical team tonight," said head coach Rob Brewer.  "I give our girls credit, they battled back and we were able to get a point on the road."

The Bears travel to SIU Edwardsville for a 1:00 p.m. tilt with the Cougars on Sunday at Ralph Korte Stadium.  Missouri State will return home on Thursday, October 29, for the regular season finale against Illinois State.  The Bears and Redbirds will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. at Plaster Field.
