Monmouth’s RJ Allen and Penn State’s Danielle Toney (pictured on front) are this week’s TopDrawerSoccer.com Players of the Week in honor of their efforts on the field.

Toney scored 3 times in a pair of victories for the Nittany Lions. Allen scored twice, added an assist and helped the Hawks to a pair of shutout victories as a defender.

Meanwhile in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Tournament 64 and 48 National Ranking, the Akron Zips men and the Stanford Cardinal women retain their #1 ranking, remaining unbeaten and untied on the 2009 season.

Paul Ratcliffe’s Stanford women are now 19-0-0 after two more victories in Pac 10 play vs. Arizona and Arizona State. The ranking is a running attempt to project the postseason NCAA Tournament field.

Most of the top teams in the women’s ranking retain their position, with Florida State and USC among the few suffering losses.

On the men’s side, Caleb Porter’s Akron program remains undefeated at 16-0-0 after beating Penn State. Upward movers in the ranking this week include North Carolina, UC Santa Barbara, Louisville, Duke and Monmouth. New entries to this week’s ranking include Michigan State, Cleveland State, Old Dominion, Creighton, Bucknell and Sacramento State.

The ranking is a running attempt to project the postseason NCAA Tournament field.
