UMass' Stoll named to A-10 all-tournament team

Updated: November 9, 2009
AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts women's soccer redshirt junior Sydney Stoll (Dedham, Mass./Dedham) was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Tournament team, the conference announced on Sunday. Stoll is the 16th Minutewoman in program history to earn the recognition.

Stoll had two of UMass' seven shots against Fordham in the teams' Atlantic 10 Tournament opening round match last Thursday. The Minutewomen, who made their first postseason appearance since 2004, fell to the Rams, 3-0.

After missing part of 2007 and all of 2008 due to injury, Stoll was a major offensive contributor for UMass this fall. The forward-turned-midfielder tied for the team lead in goals with five, including two game winners, and was second on the squad in points with 11.

The Minutewomen finished 2009 with a record of 6-11-2 and went 5-6-0 in Atlantic 10 play, good for sixth in the conference.
