The Terrapins are now 7-0 after defeating UMBC 4-3 in overtime and North Carolina State 3-1 in regulation. The Terps are followed in the ranking by Connecticut, North Carolina, Louisville and Akron. The ranking is a running effort to project the postseason NCAA Tournament field, including all automatic conference and at-large qualifiers. Weekly updates will appear every Monday.
Meanwhile, UIC’s Ivan Stanisavljevic may not go by “Stan the Man” as a nickname, but soccer headline writers around the country will suggest it following the junior for Belgrade Serbia’s offensive exploits this week. Stanisavljevic scored 4 goals and added 2 assists to lead the Flames to a pair of overtime wins against SIU-Edwardsville and Drake, causing us to name him the TopDrawerSoccer.com Men's College Player of the Week.
