Today marks the beginning of the 2013 Players To Watch Top 100 Boys National Ranking. This inaugural list will begin the process of monthly re-evaluations as we scour the land for reports on top players in club soccer, until this group’s national signing day in February of 2013.

As we’ve explained before, the list is fluid. We are in contact with coaches of all stripes and other respected observers from around the country. As you would expect from a project this broad in scope, and given the nature of the soccer development for players at this age, it can be very inexact and fluid. But our effort to bring you solid information and accurately assimilate the data we receive into a credible rankings system is real and ongoing.

If you have an issue with the information, particularly factual data, you can contact us at rankings@topdrawersoccer.com and let us know. If you think we don’t know about a special player, by all means tell us. If you are just unhappy with your player’s ranking vs. another’s, you are still welcome to write, but that probably won’t register as much. If you decide to be caustic and insulting because you don’t like a ranking, it will register even less.

Congratulations to all in this initial list and to everyone else remember that they will be open to change every month and not a single player at this age is the finished article – not even close.
