Wingate International Soccer Academy - Women

Site: Wingate International Soccer Academy is located at Wingate University in Wingate North Carolina which is on the outskirts of Charlotte NC. All the campers will stay on campus in the beautiful brand new dorm which was just finished in December of 2012. All meals will be provided in our on campus dining hall, W. T. Harris Cafeteria.

Philosophy: Wingate International Soccer Academy (WISA) camps were founded to provide players the opportunity to learn and prepare for a higher level of competitive soccer. We aim to provide players of all levels the opportunity to improve as athletes and as individuals by fostering an identity of excellence. We strive to produce players and teams who can compete at the highest level of soccer. WISA will be an active participating member of the larger community on and off the field and in the eyes of youth players everywhere. Our philosophy is simple - we aim to develop the technical and tactical skills of the players and teams through fun and dynamic, yet demanding sessions.

About: This summer will be the seventh year of the ADIDAS Wingate International Soccer Academy (WISA) College Showcase. Following the successful feedback from both players and coaches alike, it promises to be another fantastic week.

WISA aims to provide an extremely competitive soccer environment that attracts some top head college coaches. The week presents you the opportunity to gain the full "college experience". Players are able to compete and train amongst the best talent within the nation as well as international and foreign candidates.

WISA also presents you the opportunity to gain the full "college experience". There will be games throughout the week in a competitive league bracket. They will also get a feel for the Wingate University campus by staying in the college dorms, hanging out in the student center and even eating in the school cafeteria. Prospective student athletes will additionally be given the opportunity to attend a recruiting seminar; advising you the best steps to take for college recruitment.

Staff: The ADIDAS WISA showcase boasts a prestigious and experienced staff throughout its ranks. WISA staff coaches are serviced all over the world, from areas within America, Great Britain, South America, Europe & the Caribbean: Every year they come together each summer to share, insight, tutor & train prospective soccer talents like yourself. Unlike other camps, they will work with the college coaching staff every day in both practices and games. 

Schedule: Campers will undergo a training session in the morning with the college coaches who are attending the camp. Campers will be assigned together and will have an opportunity to play two full sided games a day maximizing their exposure to the number of different coaches that are here working the week.

Evaluations: A full written evaluation will be given at the end of the week and assistance will be provided with references and placement in college soccer programs.
