One Soccer Schools offer ultimate soccer

One Soccer Schools has to be one of the more elaborate soccer camps in the country. The amount of equipment, from poles to ladders to goals to hurdles, the organization transfers from one camp to the next gives an indication of how serious the organization is about providing an excellent player development experience.

The directors of One were mentored by some of the most influential coaches in youth development in the United States and abroad. Their mentors have over 100 years of combined experience conducting soccer schools and youth academies focused on the growth and development of the youth soccer player.

While the group has 10 separate events, its Elite Residential week in Santa Ynez, California is perhaps best known. While that event, June 28 to July 4, is sold out, there are similar events in the western United States throughout the summer.

Camps director Jeff Johnson said planning is a vital component of making his events top-notch.

“We tried to come out with a vision to create the ultimate soccer experience,” he said. “We wanted the most dynamic program with the most educational program in the country. We developed a curriculum to cover every facet of the game, plus one that keeps evolving with the game of soccer. Some programs don’t evolve with the game and some don’t even have a curriculum.”

Among the events Johnson looks forward to this summer are at Texas Christian University June 14-18 and July 10-18 and Sun Valley, Idaho July 27-31.

Camps include residential, day and junior (half-day) options.
