Today we make our regular update of the Players To Watch Top 100 - 2012 Boys player ranking.

Upwardly mobile players in this month's update include Andrew Oliver, Alfred Koroma, Joseph Amon, Jalen Robinson and Todd Wharton.

Beginning this year, we are committed to monthly updates to each of our 4 running top 100 lists (2012, 2013 Boys and Girls, the 2011 lists are set at the conclusion of National Signing Day in February). These come very Monday. We also have monthly updates for each of our 16 regions and their respective top 20 rankings in each age group. These are released on the site Tuesday through Friday.

The rankings are our best effort to assimilate the feedback we get from coaches and other observers in all parts of the country. You should remember that in soccer these are bound to be somewhat subjective, and not everyone shares the same opinion of a player's capabilities. With tens of thousands of players in our database, you can imagine the task of ranking is rather complicated. The star rating is perhaps more instrumental in terms of their exposure and the interest they draw from the college coaching world.
