2016 Recruiting Overview: SEC

2016 Recruiting Overview: SEC
by Travis Clark
February 2, 2016

The SEC never seems to get the love that it deserves when looking at recruiting. With a handful of programs that have emerged as national powerhouses (Florida, Texas A&M, South Carolina), schools like Auburn, Kentucky, LSU and Mississippi have enjoyed solid campaigns over the past few seasons.

The 2016 recruiting crop isn’t quite at the echelon of the ACC and Pac-12, though both Kentucky and South Carolina cracked the most recent 2016 recruiting class rankings update.

Examining the IMG Academy Top 150, none of the Top 25 recruits from the class of 2016 are heading to the SEC. But the likes of Marissa Bosco, Avery Batson, Evangeline Souce and Caitlin Cantrill are just a few of the names to keep an eye on in the SEC this fall.

Below is a look at each program’s verbal commitments ahead of Signing Day. Please send any corrections or omissions to commit@topdrawersoccer.com.
