TopDrawerSoccer continues TeamRank updates for February on Friday. The third ranking is for the Boys U15, U14, and U13 age groups.

Joining the Party 

With a 8-1 record in Development Academy play during the 2018-2019 season, San Antonio FC is quickly putting a mark on the U15 Boys TeamRank. The Texas side jumps up to No. 5 in the monthly club soccer team rankings for February. MLS academies LAFC, Philadelphia Union, Colorado Rapids, and Seattle Sounders retain the top four spots in this age group.

Still Waiting 

There was not much change in the U14 age group as many of the top teams have been off since November. San Diego Surf, 12-0-1 in Development Academy play, remains the No. 1 team in the TopDrawerSoccer TeamRank Top 25 for the Boys U14 age group in the February update. Real Salt Lake, Weston FC, NYCFC, and Philadelphia Union round out the top five.

Total Takeover 

Total Futbol Academy takes over the top spot in the TopDrawerSoccer Boys TeamRank Top 25 for the U13 age group with this month’s update. TFA kicked off the month with a resounding win over LA Galaxy over the weekend. FC Dallas, LAFC, Lonestar, and Philadelphia Union round out the rest of the top five.

TeamRank is the comprehensive team-ranking system devised by TopDrawerSoccer.com to provide an objective and common-sense approach to determining which elite youth soccer teams are the best in the nation.

The rankings, updated monthly, are primarily results-based, with a nod toward the league and championship competitions that emulate how excellence is determined in leading soccer nations around the world.

Tournaments are also included but at a reduced value due to the many mitigating factors involving such events, including attrition and guest players.

A final layer of executive evaluation is provided to account for variables that often impact results, thus ensuring that the monthly lists are not subjective, but are not purely mechanical.
