Brooklyn Raines signs with Houston Dynamo
Brooklyn Raines, No. 3 in the 2023 Boys Player Rankings, presented by IMG Academy, is the latest young U.S. prospect to turn pro.
The midfielder signed a Homegrown contract with the Houston Dynamo, the team announced on Friday. Houston acquired Raines' Homegrown rights from Real Salt Lake, despite the fact Raines had never played for the RSL Academy.
“We want Houston Dynamo FC to be a destination for the top young talent in the country and the signing of Brooklyn Raines is a step in the right direction,” Dynamo general manager Pat Onstad said in a press release. “Brooklyn has drawn interest from around the world and we are proud that he chose to continue his development in Houston. He is a high potential player and we look forward to him advancing through our player development pathway.”
Growing the next generation of 🔝 talent, right here in H-Town.
