ECNL Las Vegas is around the corner, with elite prospects looking to begin their year on a high note. Here are ten U17 players to watch.

Landon Anderson, Sporting Iowa - With Anderson as captain, Sporting Iowa reached the playoffs last summer. Now the junior will look to prove he is among the best in the ECNL.

Brandon Cerda, Kernow Storm RL - As the star goalkeeper on a stacked team, Cerda does not always face action, but when he does, his athleticism is on full display. A weekend against ECNL opposition will be a great opportunity to showcase his talents.

Rhys Ford, Boise Timbers - Ford, an unpredictable attacker whose next move leaves defenders perplexed, is entertaining to watch. With his ability to impact the score sheet, the Boise star should be among the best performers in attendance.

Blake Hostetter, FC Europa RL - Considered one of the best in the ECNL-RL, the Las Vegas event is a perfect opportunity for Hostetter to prove his credentials. This roster will be motivated to show they can beat anyone.

River Leyde, Seattle United - Another star goalkeeper in attendance, Leyde is as comfortable making a world-class save as he is navigating the press with his passing. His traits add up to the ideal modern goalkeeper.

Ben Lohse, Washington Premier FC - This Washington Premier team has plenty to offer, and among the best prospects is Lehse. The junior will shine as a tough-tackling center back, with his anticipation and passing making him a gem at the position.

Jeffrey Nelson, Pac NW SC - With Nelson in goal, Pac NW can beat any team in the country. The junior shotstopper seems to improve the more shots he faces, a vital trait for upsets.

Matthew Perez, Rockford Raptors - As team captain and defender, Perez is adept at leading from the backline. If the junior is in form, the Illinois team may sweep the opposition.

Callan Spear, United PDX - Spear, a TDS Fall High School Best XI selection, is in form after helping Beaverton to an Oregon 6A title as state MVP. The junior defender has the athleticism and technical traits to stand out as one of the best center-backs in attendance.

Nathan Tapia, El Paso Locomotive - El Paso has no shortage of talent, and Tapia is among the leaders as a midfielder who excels in multiple facets of the game. His play will fuel a team that is entertaining and effective.
