How to Create a Highlight Video
On March 18, two former D1 college coaches will be leading a college recruiting workshop hosted by Trace to help players understand the key elements they should include when creating soccer highlight videos for college coaches.
Game film and highlights are more important than ever for college recruiting. If you’re thinking about playing college soccer, a highlight video will be critical. College coaches have always heavily relied on video to recruit players, but the recent pandemic has accelerated the adoption of video by college athletic departments.
The webinar will be hosted by Tim Bennett and Michael Needham, two former college D1 coaches. Each section of the webinar will take players through the skills, mindset, and leadership characteristics unique to each position.
The workshop will feature sections for what are college coaches looking for from goalkeepers, full-backs, center backs, defensive center midfielders, attacking center midfielders, wingers, and strikers. For each of these positions, the hosts will showcase sample highlights that would impress college coaches.
Hundreds of soccer players have used Trace’s all-in-one game film system for college recruiting, and this workshop will feature learnings and best practices from successful recruiting cases.
